Destiny 2 players can now get Corrupted Key Codes during PvE activities which can unlock Corrupted Conflux Chests. These chests reward players with lots of seasonal gear and are only found in Corrupted versions of Expunge missions that have been infested with the Taken.

To get these corrupted keys, Destiny 2 players need to have completed the Path of the Splicer VI story quest. Recently some major details about the cause of the Endless Night and who is behind it have been revealed as the Season of the Splicer story quest nears its end.

How To Get Corrupted Key Codes:

Before players can get Corrupted Key Codes, they will need to complete the Path of the Splicer 6 quest. At the end of this quest, players will get the “Corrupted Access” Splicer Gauntlet upgrade that allows them to collect the keys and grants them access to Corrupted versions of Expunge missions.

Corrupted Key Codes have a chance to drop from any defeated enemy in any PvE activity. The chance of getting a Corrupted Key Code is quite low, but Destiny 2 players should be able to get a couple of keys over the course of a few Strikes and Override missions.

Players need to look for any small, blue, tetrahedron-shaped motes, much like the ones found in Gambit or Override. They can be quite easy to miss, but running over them will pick them up and they will be stored in a player’s inventory ready to be used.

Where To Use Corrupted Key Codes:

Corrupted Key Codes will only unlock Corrupted Conflux Chests. These chests are only found at the end of Corrupted Expunge missions. These missions are not too different from their normal versions. The power level requirement gets increased to 1300, making them harder for lower level Guardians, and Taken enemies, including Champions, replace some of the usual Vex enemies that defend the Vex Network. After the final boss of the mission has been defeated, players will be prompted to open the chest if they have a key on them.

Opening these chests will award players more Season of the Splicer gear, Decrypted Data, and sometimes Umbral Engrams. By getting the Vulnerability Exploit Splicer Gauntlet upgrades, players can improve the amount of loot they will get. By getting Vulnerability Exploit 3, players can get up to three pieces of high-stat Splicer armor or double-perk rolled Splicer weapons per week. The pinnacle reward challenge is now active for Expunge missions too. Players will be able to get a high-power level piece of gear for unlocking three Corrupted Conflux Chests in a week.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Splicer are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
