Destiny 2's The Dawning winter event will be coming to an end on January 1st, but until then, players may want to take advantage of an easy loot farm in order to stock up on Enhancement Cores and gear, including trying for multiple rolls of the event-specific machine gun, Avalanche.

This farming method is specific to The Dawning because it takes advantage of the baking activity during the event. This method will be especially good for those who have been playing Destiny 2 since the beginning of The Dawning and who may be sitting on a large stockpile of baking ingredients.

The key here is to focus on the recipes for the Tower vendors only. Don't bother with cooking up recipes for vendors on all the destinations around the solar system, as traveling to and from each planet will slow down this farm. Bake up recipes using all the materials possible for the Tower vendors and then run around the Tower and deliver them. Doing so has a chance to drop Enhancement Cores, Legendary gear, and The Dawning-specific Avalanche machine gun, which will drop with random perks. Destiny YouTuber Mesa Sean shows the farm here:

Cross check this list of baking recipes and this list of ingredients to maximize where in the game to be playing to collect the needed ingredients specifically for the Tower vendors. Likely the ingredient players will start running out of quickly will be Dawning Essence, but certain activities are more rewarding than others. Gambit and Nightfalls are most rewarding per completion with shorter activities like Patrols and Public Events rewarding less per completion.

This farming method will only work during The Dawning, which is currently running and will be ending on January 1st, so hopefully utilizing this method can yield some focused rewards as the event winds down.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
