Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen brings with it new Seasonal Challenges. Seasonal Challenges are a set of weekly challenges that offer Bright Dust, XP, and some also give War Table Reputation. These Seasonal Challenges can be completed as they are introduced each week, or they can be completed anytime after their introduction. This allows Guardians who do not play Destiny 2 every week, to still be able to progress without missing too much.

In Week Five of the Seasonal Challenges in Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen, Guardians are presented with the Graven Scrawl Challenge. The Graven Scrawl Challenge requires Guardians to investigate cryptic notes left in the Captain’s Log. There are three cryptic notes for Guardians to uncover. Guardians need only to collect three of the Captain’s Log Lore Pages and that will count as investigating the cryptic notes.

Guardians will need to complete the Exotic Presage Quest aboard the Glykon a total of four times on the same character, to unlock three pages of the Captain’s Log. The pages of the Captain’s Log can be found in the Lore tab of the Triumphs page. Guardians will find the Captain’s Log Lore Book in The Darkness tab. Claiming three of these pages will be enough to complete the Graven Scrawl Weekly Challenge.

Guardians should be aware that multiple runs of the Presage Mission are character based and not account based. This means that Guardians will have to do their multiple runs on the same character until they have three pages of the Captain’s Log Lore Book. Guardians who have already grabbed at least three pages of the Captain’s Log should only have to collect the pages from the Lore tab to complete the Challenge.

When Guardians have grabbed three pages of the Captain’s Log, they will need to navigate to the Seasonal Challenges page found in the Quest tab, or the Season tab of the Director. Select Week Five and complete the Graven Scrawl Challenge. The Graven Scrawl Challenge will give Guardians a bit of XP but does not offer any Bright Dust or War Table Reputation.

While there are many types of Challenges in Destiny 2, these Weekly Seasonal Challenges are a new thing for Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen. It is unclear if Bungie will continue the same model for future seasons, or if the Weekly Seasonal Challenges will return in a similar fashion next season. With the increase in Bright Dust available because of the Weekly Challenges, many Guardians are hopeful for their return in future seasons.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
