This week, Destiny 2 fans finally got to their hands on the Warmind expansion, and with a the new DLC of comes the latest raid lair. Spire of Stars is the latest mountain Bungie has for players to climb, requiring a fireteam to pool their collective skills and communicate to reach their goal. Of course, there is always a group of Guardians up to the challenge.

While some fireteams are still struggling to conquer the Spire of Stars, a group of Guardians from Clan Redeem, the same clan who finished the previous raid lair with only two players, have managed to become the first in the world to do just that, defeating Val Ca'uor and gaining glory. The team, consisting of clan members Eon, Indica, Sweatcicle, Gladd, Modern, and Ehroar achieved the difficult task in little over 6 and a half hours. The run can be seen in it's entirety below courtesy of Gladd's YouTube channel:

The feat was quite the accomplishment, and Bungie was sure to keep a close eye. Not long after finishing the final boss, the Destiny 2 team was quick to check the player data to confirm the completion. The developer soon tweeted words of praise and congratulations to Reedem and released the final statistics on the run, which included 11,864 kills and 598 deaths.

What makes the run all the more impressive is just how difficult the raid lair actually is. Prior to release, many believed that the recommended light level would be around 340-350, but were surprised to find that the real recommended level is 370. To make things just that bit more difficult, it has become apparent that the light level of the final encounter of the raid lair sits at around 380, which is the new level cap that came with Warmind. Bungie community manager Deej was quick to comment on the difficulty of the lair, saying that fans asked for the challenge.

With the release of Warmind, Bungie are starting to make good on their promise to take community feedback to heart, and while the game is still full of issues, Destiny 2 does seem to be on the road to recovery. Players are always asking for a new challenge, and new missions, so the only question now is what mountain Destiny fans will have to climb next.

Destiny 2: Warmind is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
