Earlier this month, Bungie brought back the Grandmaster difficulty for Destiny 2 nightfall strike missions. Intended to be one of the more challenging activities that Destiny 2 offers, Grandmaster Nightfalls are high-end PvE content that requires players be at 1345 power in order to content with the Champion enemies and difficult mission modifiers that are active. For those that can meet the challenge, they'll be rewarded with high end resources as well as adept level loot.

However, what makes this season a bit more challenging than what players have experienced in seasons past is the current Nightfall mission rotation. Season of the Lost features numerous Nightfall strikes that the community has noted are riddled with game-breaking bugs and are overly challenging. In fact, The Corrupted nightfall strike features Overload Champions that are capable of regenerating their health non-stop and fire seeker bolts even when stunned. Even with all the difficulty, some fans have found a way to bypass some of the intended challenge.

In a new post over on the Raid Secrets subReddit for Destiny 2, a user named SaltySpaiden lays out a strategy for the boss battle against Sedia, the boss of The Corrupted strike. While their video is missing the first half of the strategy, essentially what the team does is to carry a relic orb into the Ascendant Realm from an earlier encounter near the elevator. These orbs are necessary for breaking Sedia's shield and typically players need to pick them up at specific times of the fight.

However, it seems that when entering the Ascendant Realm and approaching the final fight, the game doesn't strip away someone carrying an orb, allowing them to use it on the boss before entering the final area. At this point with her shields down, the fireteam unleashes as much damage as possible, taking her out completely on the platforms before reaching the final boss area. While The Corrupted is still an unpopular strike for many Destiny 2 players, players who can pull this strategy off may find things a little easier.

While this strategy may make the final segements of the mission easier, there's still the issue of the Overload CHampions which continue to be a thorn in the side of many players. In fact, content creator Esoterickk managed to capture footage of the many issues Overload Champions can present. In this case, these enemies continued to quickly regenerate their health, turning what should have been a short encounter into a 10 minute frustrating slog.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
