Destiny 2: Forsaken added a slew of new and returning exotics for players to chase after, including a unique one from The Taken King. Fans will remember The Chaperone, the slug shotgun that made its debut during The Taken King live-action trailer. This sleek weapon is now up for grabs once again, and here is how fans can snag it.

Getting the “Holliday Family History” Quest

This is perhaps the most annoying part of the quest, as it is completely up to chance for Destiny 2 players to get. It seems to drop sometime after players hit Level 50. Some players report getting it during the Crucible, while some fans received it randomly in Orbit. Just keep playing the game in various activities. Once the quest does drop, head on over to Amanda Holliday in the Tower Hanger to begin the Tex Mechanica Tournament.

Shotgun Kills

This step is perhaps the easiest to accomplish, as it requires players to defeat 20 guardians in the Crucible using a shotgun. These do not have to be in the same match, and progress carries over regardless of how many deaths the player gets. With the fast time-to-kill in the Crucible, players will easily be able to run around and defeat opponents using any sort of shotgun.

Elemental Kills

This may be the most difficult step for players to finish in the quest line, as it requires players to get Arc, Solar, and Void kills in the Crucible. Each kill is worth 5%, but dying sets progress back by 1% for each death. Luckily once players finish an element, it is locked and cannot lose progress. Players will want to focus on one element at a time so they do not lose progress on multiple elements at once. Some of the new supers in Forsaken may prove very handy in securing multiple kills at once.

Gambit Kills

After securing enough elemental kills, players must defeat other guardians in Gambit, 15 in total. Unlike the Ace of Spades exotic quest, it does not have to be just invaders. Players can invade the other team and it will still count toward this exotic quest.

After finishing up the Gambit kills, players can return to Holliday in The Tower to receive The Chaperone. It is one of the more unique exotics since it shoots a single slug round and rewards precision shots thanks to The Roadborn perk. After a precision kill, the weapon will have better handling, range, and precision damage. Overall, The Chaperone is a fun gun to use and could prove deadly in the right hands.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
