Sweet Business can be a terrifying weapon in the right hands in Destiny 2. It takes a while to spin it up and start firing, but on full auto at its peak, this thing shreds enemies. In PVE, this means a lot of kills, and in PVP, this weapon can annihilate anyone unlucky enough or foolish enough to run out in front of it.

The Sweet Business Catalyst brings a noticeable improvement to the gun that makes it more manageable. Tracking it down isn’t all that difficult, though it does require a bit of luck. For those interesting in dusting off this weapon and taking it for a spin, here’s what they’ll need to know about the Catalyst and where to get it.

What The Sweet Business Catalyst Does

Destiny 2 Red Titan Firing Sweet Business

The Sweet Business Catalyst comes with a single perk called Serious Business. Serious Business accomplishes the following:

  • When the weapon is at full spin, any incoming damage will deal significantly less flinch.

This effectively mitigates one of the biggest drawbacks to the weapon. Now, when opposing players try to take potshots at the player firing the Sweet Business to knock off their aim, it’ll be less effective. The player holding this Exotic Auto Rifle will be able to maintain their targeting, thereby increasing accuracy and ensuring more shots reach their target.

How To Find The Sweet Business Catalyst

Destiny 2 Sweet Business Exotic Auto Rifle

The Sweet Business Catalyst is obtained randomly while performing the following activities in Destiny 2:

  • Strikes
  • Crucible

It should be noted that the Catalyst will drop from enemies killed in these events. This means the player does not need to successfully complete either a Strike or a Crucible; they simply they need to participate and get kills.

There doesn’t seem to be an indication that one type of activity will be more likely to drop the Sweet Business Catalyst over the other. As a result, players should choose whatever they’re most comfortable with, or can run repeatedly.

Upgrading The Sweet Business Catalyst

Destiny 2 Titan Holding Sweet Business

Once the Sweet Business Catalyst is obtained players, will want to take some time to upgrade it. Successfully upgrading the Sweet Business Catalyst requires defeating enemies in groups of at least four 250 times.

Note this doesn’t mean 250 kills, this means 250 groups of four enemies must be killed. The bare minimum number of kills would be 1,000 enemies. If these four enemies aren’t killed in rapid succession together, then it doesn’t count. These kills can be obtained retroactively, so any group kills made prior to obtaining the Catalyst will count towards the goal.

Tips

As stated earlier, either Crucibles or Strikes would be equally suitable for a drop. That being, said Strikes might be better for most players, as getting lots of kills quickly is more feasible during this activity. It also helps with getting the 250 group kills needed for the upgrade.

Speaking of upgrade, it’s unclear if killing eight enemies in the same group counts as a single group kill or two group kills. To maximize group kills, it may be best to to get the one group kill, wait, and then go for the others. Any area with lots of ads in PVE would be ideal for getting these kills. The thralls in Shattered Throne is one example of a great farming spot.
