Destiny 2 has evolved to be a dynamic game with lots of content to play through at all times, which was first achieved with yearly expansions and DLC, and later with many Seasons and events. Across an entire year of Destiny 2, players can typically look forward to at least four major seasonal events in the form of the Dawning for the holiday season, Guardian Games in spring, the Solstice in the summer, and Festival of the Lost in October and November. The 2022 version of the Guardian Games event launched just a day ago, but players are already discovering some issues.

Among them, an example is that some mini-bosses within the game can be killed repeatedly in order to obtain an insane amount of Laurels to complete the event's various bounties. This is achieved by farming the spot in Savathun's Throne World, in Miasma, where the entrance to the Vow of the Disciple Raid is normally located. There, two Lucent Hive Knights spawn at all times, and they can be killed with ease to get plenty of Laurels on a short cooldown.

Another major issue tied to the Guardian Games event is that the new The Title SMG is seemingly not dropping for anyone regardless of the number of medallions players deposit at the podium or how many activities they complete. The bug was soon acknowledged by Bungie, and a tweet from Community Manager Liana Ruppert was shared to tentatively gather more information from players and their results with playing the event. Apparently, The Title is only dropping from Destiny 2's new mission, called Best in Class.

Of course, The Title is the most sought-after reward for veterans who have already participated in past events, but even new players can benefit from this weapon because of its interactions with the Void 3.0 update and the Classy Contender perk. Still, as a Destiny 2 fan pointed out in response to Bungie's tweet, the Destiny 2 data collector website Light.gg indicates that the only roll for The Title obtained by the community is the guaranteed one from the Best in Class mission. This further acts as evidence that the SMG is indeed not dropping for everyone, or at least, for most players.

Yet, Bungie is likely to deploy a hotfix later today or tomorrow to fix the issue and allow The Title to drop as intended from all sources during Guardian Games. The Guardian Games event changed a lot this year, and it's not impossible that the various new features may be causing side effects to the drop rates of the SMG. More information will likely be shared soon, once Bungie comprehends the reasons behind this glitch and how to fix it.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
