The Senior World Artist at Bungie has uploaded new Destiny 2 artwork. Among many things, the gallery shows off the evolution of The Tower Bazaar and the construction which is overseen by Ikora.

The setpiece of the uploaded gallery is an animated image that depicts the Tower Portal being put together piece by piece. The Tower is used as a social space in Destiny 2 and as an overall headquarters for the Vanguard.

Along with images of the Tower Portal, the gallery shows off pictures of The Tower's underneath hidden passages and high away scaffoldings. Some additional work depicts the exotic weaponry that was added thanks to the Leviathan's Breath pursuit. There is also a Guardian statue in The Tower that during the Solstice of Heroes event was updated; the gallery shows off this work.

While the main images are certainly of the Tower, the gallery shows off many pictures depicting areas that Guardians will be familiar with. Most of the photographs can be depicted as scenic views or Destiny 2's familiar mazes and corridors.

Bungie has often been considered as one of the benchmark developers in gaming when it comes to art design. Its thumb-print in gaming, from games like Marathon on the Mac to the Halo series and of course Destiny, has always had a distinct artistic look and feel. Destiny 2 is certainly no different. On top of its games being aesthetically pleasing, Bungie has almost always had a flair for the theatrics. Its games are filled with mysteries, secrets, and surprises.

However, as strong as a Bungie has been as a developer on all fronts, it seems to struggle to maintain its player base for Destiny 2 from time to time. Managing an audience with a games of service game over a multi-year period is not easy. In some ways, one may wonder if releasing a true sequel would be the best bet, as opposed to relying on small and large updates to rejuvenate the fans. While Destiny 3 probably won't be a surprise drop in 2020, it could certainly be something that comes with the new generations of consoles sometime down the road. And that could be something that brings back the hardcore fan base.

It may be hard to believe, but Bungie has been working on games now for 30 years, since Gnop! in 1990. Bungie is a seasoned game developer that has now proven to have the ability to create unique story, multiplayer, and online experiences all with a beautiful art-style. 2020 will most likely be a very interesting year for Destiny 2, and the coming years could have a lot of great things in store for Bungie, and in turn, for gamers alike.
