Still searching for the exotic "Spicy Ramen" emote in Destiny 2? Or maybe an exotic ship or Sparrow? Well, continue to grind for them because when the game's Season 2 begins, the majority of those items will be gone, replaced by brand new ones.
In a panel at TwitchCon, Bungie revealed that seasons will be coming to Destiny 2 throughout the game's first year, which will give players new content and provide a chance to make significant sandbox changes to the game. Part of that content that will be added to the game is a brand new stock of items to Bright Engrams, which are earned by gaining XP or purchased outright using Silver.
While it's great to hear that more ships, shaders, emotes, and Sparrows will be added to Bright Engrams, the flip side of that news is that Bungie will retire the majority of items from the previous season. However, it sounds like Bungie will activate one of the new Clarion Call events near the end of the season to help players grind and increase the frequency of earning Bright Engrams.
Bungie gave a sneak peek at some of the items to expect to pull from Bright Engrams in Season 2:
Ghost Shells
There were plenty of Ghost shells to collect in Destiny 2 at launch, but most of them were reskins of the same body style. In Season 2, new Ghost shapes and bodies will be added.
Bungie said that when players rotate the Ghost in the above picture, the stars and galaxies will orbit and move inside.
The above Ghost was affectionately (and unofficially) called the "Daft Punk Ghost" by Bungie at the TwitchCon panel.
When the Ghost shell above was shown, someone from the audience shouted out, saying it looked like a Winamp skin, a nod to the media player that was popular in the late 90s.
This shell is rumored to be The Dawning Ghost shell, and may disappear at the conclusion of the event, even before the end of Season 2.

Bungie did not specify when exactly Season 2 will start, but it will likely be early December around the time of the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion and before The Dawning event that debuts later that month.
Destiny 2 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One, and release on October 24, 2017 for PC.
