For a long time in Destiny 2, many players have been asking for a way to pick up bounties in the game without having to load into the Tower and run around to each individual vendor. Well, if a screen caught in one of Destiny 2's latest development videos gives any indication, that functionality may be coming with the Shadowkeep expansion this fall.

The screen in question really is a "blink and you'll miss it" shot during the latest "Developer Insights" video about the Moon destination coming in Shadowkeep. While the screen is very blurry, it appears that the Crucible vendor menu is being accessed from the orbit screen of Destiny 2. The screen that would normally be seen by going to see Lord Shaxx in the Tower is overlaid on the in-orbit screen. The Crucible experience diamond is visible at the top of the menu, the outline of the reward package engram can be seen under that, and what looks like bounty or quest icons are lined up below.

Granted, this could be a feature that the developers at Bungie use internally, but it has left players speculating that Bungie might finally be answering long-running complaints about having to go to the Tower to pick up bounties. Remember that it took Destiny 1 a while before it added the ability to complete bounties right from orbit, which players now take for granted.

While it is more of a quality of life improvement than a huge addition to the game, picking up bounties from orbit would ease the rather time-consuming process of loading into the Tower and running to each vendor to pick up daily bounties. Initially, this may not have been much of an issue but it has become laborious as Bungie added more and more vendors with Year 2's seasons and spread them out across the Tower. Even just eliminating the added load time for the Tower would be enough to get players focused on activities instead of "preparing" for those activities.

Bungie has yet to mention anything about the possibility of this feature being added to the game, so this is pure speculation over a feature that has been wanted by many for a very long time. Many have suggested Bungie granting the ability to pick up bounties via the Destiny Companion app or other third-party clients like Destiny Item Manager or Ishtar Commander, but that functionality has never been added. Players will have to wait and see if this feature becomes a reality this fall.
