Destiny 2 is already the best-selling game of the year, as millions of players have flocked to Bungie’s connected first-person shooter. But the game is set to welcome even more players thanks to a heavy discount on Black Friday.

Target has revealed its list of Black Friday discounts ahead of the big Black Friday shopping event on November 24. Chief among them is Destiny 2, which will be available for just $30. Given how popular the game has been (at one point, over one million players were playing concurrently), prospective players may be hard pressed to find the game for a cheaper price than this.

Other games that will be discounted to $30 as part of Target’s Black Friday sale include:

  • Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
  • FIFA 18
  • NBA 2K18
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole
  • Just Dance 18 (Nintendo Switch)
  • Madden 18
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War
  • The Evil Within 2
  • Overwatch

There are also game discounts at other tiers. For example Assassin’s Creed Origins and Need for Speed Payback will be down to $35, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Horizon Zero Dawn are down to $25, and Final Fantasy 15 and Gears of War 4 will be reduced to just $15.

Destiny 2 PC bans accidental Bungie

At launch, Destiny 2 was not the perfect game. Although Bungie had made some significant improvements in its shooter sequel (namely its story campaign), players have continued to bemoan the game’s end-game content. Fans have voiced their frustrations at the game’s Power level cap saying that they have been left with nothing to do and no sense of progression. This, in turn, has meant that they feel less inclined to play the game each day.

But the new players who pick Destiny 2 up on Black Friday likely won’t experience these downsides (at least not so much). Black Friday is just over a week away from the release of Destiny 2‘s Curse of Osiris DLC. Not only will this give players an additional bit of story and lore to experience and play through, but it will also increase the game’s Power level cap. Moreover, fans can expect exotic weapons from Destiny 1 to return, giving players more ways to blast their foes into smithereens.

According to datamined files, December will also see the return of the fan-favorite activity, the Sparrow Racing League, and The Dawning winter event is launching soon too. Essentially this means that Black Friday is the best time for new folks to pick up Destiny 2. This influx of new content and new players should be just enough to keep everyone entertained until Bungie releases even more major Destiny 2 updates next year.

Destiny 2 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
