With another expansion released for Destiny 2, players are back on the grind obtaining a higher Power Level while earning new weapons and armor. Destiny 2: Beyond Light has made massive changes to the sandbox with the introduction of Stasis, a Darkness-themed Subclass that can slow, freeze, and shatter foes.

This new Subclass demands a different mindset compared to the Light-themed Subclasses players have grown accustomed to. As a result, there is somewhat of a learning curve to not just the new Subclass abilities but the contents of the expansion. From wall jumps to leveling tips, here are ten tips to help players experience everything Destiny 2: Beyond Light has to offer.

10 Breaking The Ice

Most Stasis abilities have the capability of creating frozen pillars of cover or freezing enemies in place. Both scenarios will allow the player to detonate the frozen object for a massive amount of bonus damage.

A certain threshold of damage must be exceeded for the ice to detonate, though. Repeatedly freezing a target or using Special weapons will do the job, although melee attacks and explosives do a fantastic job at detonating ice as well. Hunters can also use the Shatterdive Aspect to instantly detonate any frozen objects they land on. Shatter Stasis crystals whenever possible to maximize damage output with this Subclass archetype.

9 Creating Cover

Destiny 2 Beyond Light Glacier Grenade Wall

Titans aren't the only class that can create cover anymore. Thanks to the introduction of Stasis, every Guardian is capable of making walls of ice to hide behind. This can be done with either Glacier Grenades or the Salvation's Grip Exotic Grenade Launcher. Use these items to create pillars of cover, trap enemies in certain locations, or obscure entire sightlines in PvP maps.

8 Glacier Grenade Bounce

Destiny 2 Stasis Wall

Glacier Grenades can do much more than just create cover. These grenades are also invaluable at freezing high-priority targets in gunfights. They can also be destroyed for a powerful AoE explosion.

However, Glacier Grenades can also be used to gain an immense amount of upward momentum. Throw one of these grenades at the ground and watch as the wall will fling friendly Guardians into the sky. Warlocks can use any Glide movement in tandem with this grenade to launch themselves hundreds of feet into the air, beating out top tree Dawnblade in terms of vertical movement.

7 Antaeus Ward Reflects Stasis Projectiles

Strategies for countering Stasis are currently few and far between. While it is rather tough to counter the new Stasis freezing abilities inside the Crucible, Titans do have a unique Exotic that can make Shadebinders and Revenants less frustrating to face.

Equip Antaeus Wards and slide whenever a Shadebinder presents itself. This Exotic will project a field that will reflect any projectiles back at the target. Unfortunately, players will still get frozen when hit by a Shadebinder's melee projectiles, but at least they'll have made a few enemy players frozen in the process.

6 New Enemy Weakpoints

Destiny 2 Fallen Brig

Beyond Light introduced two new enemies to face: the Fallen Brig mech and the Vex Wyvern. Both of these enemies are extremely aggressive and can take down uncoordinated fireteams in seconds. Fortunately, they have weakpoints like every other foe.

Fallen Brigs will not take critical damage until their faceplate has been destroyed. Dealing enough damage to this plate will blow it off, allowing any Guardians to shoot its reactor for massive damage. Vex Wyverns also have two weakpoints that are located on their back and stomach. Since their body hunches forward, players will need to stagger the Wyvern to deal critical damage. Should this be impossible due to modifiers or Power Level, have a fireteam member flank the Wyvern and damage its weakpoint from behind.

5 Hit The Soft Cap Before Completing The Campaign

Destiny fans that want a challenge should jump straight into the Beyond Light campaign when they can to experience the difficult encounters Bungie developed. For those that have limited time or hate difficult encounters, Guardians can also level to the Beyond Light soft cap of 1,200 to make the campaign significantly easier. Obtain rare items from various activities to increase a Guardian's Power Level. This will make the campaign significantly easier to finish, especially for solo players.

4 Obtain And Equip Blinding Light

Destiny 2 Blinding Light Mod

Ghost Shells have received a Mod system similar to armor, allowing players to choose which benefits they want from their selected Ghost. One of these benefits is Guiding Light, a perk that grants 10% increased experience from all sources.

Those that have thousands of tokens should instead turn them in to obtain new Ghost Mods. One of these Mods is named Blinding Light. For six points, this Mod will grant 12% increased experience gains instead of the 10% Guiding Light offers. This Mod is relatively common for veteran players and will give players the most experience possible while they are playing through the new expansion.

3 Combat Mod Synergies

Destiny 2 Sunshot

Seasonal Mods, otherwise known as Combat Style Mods, grant some exceptionally strong benefits such as room-clearing Warmind Cells or a +20 boost to certain stats. These Mods are invaluable for making the best endgame builds that can tackle Destiny's hardest content.

Some of these Mods become truly powerful when combined. For example, the Wrath of Rasputin Mod allows Solar splash damage to generate Warmind Cells. Not only does this work with Sunshot and Solar weapons with Dragonfly, but it also works with Warmind Cells if the Rage of the Warmind Mod is installed since it gives Warmind Cells Solar damage. Combine certain Combat Style Mods with each other to create some truly game-changing builds that make the game much easier.

2 Reaching The Softcap Quickly

Destiny 2 Moon Hellmouth

Leveling in Destiny 2: Beyond Light is similar to previous expansions where Guardians will receive higher Power gear until they reach 1,200. Once this cap is reached, players will need to complete weekly milestones to achieve the hard cap of 1,250. Pinnacle activities can also grant gear above this hard cap up to the game's Pinnacle cap of 1,260.

The best way to level in this expansion is to reach the soft cap as soon as possible. Virtually every activity will grant higher-Power gear up to this cap, but the fastest way of reaching it is through slaying powerful Nightmares on the Moon. These enemies have an exceptionally high chance of dropping Legendaries with a higher Power Level. Completing Public Events and slaying the Trove Guardian will grant additional gear. Once at the soft cap, complete weeklies to obtain higher Power.

1 Multitask Bounties And Quests

Destiny 2 Variks

A significant number of quests and bounties in Beyond Light overlap with each other. Instead of delving into a specific quest and finishing it as fast as possible, obtain multiple quests and bounties from vendors and focus on one at a time. This will typically progress multiple quests passively and make the post-campaign progression much smoother.
