The Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion has brought a lot of new story, weapons, and more to the game. Beyond Light is a massive reworking of visuals, old raids, and even champion mods, altering the game almost beyond recognition. Bungie has even added new Stasis subclasses to add a little variety. One of the new ways that players can upgrade their new subclasses is through Aspects and Fragments, but getting them can be a little unintuitive.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects are class-specific mods to add buffs to Stasis classes, while all Fragments are usable by all classes. The combination of Fragments and Aspects allow a Guardian to build themselves a unique Stasis build that works for their playstyle. In order to start getting either of these coveted pieces, players are going to have to journey to Europa and speak with the still-mysterious Exo Stranger.

Unlocking the Aspect

In order to get started in customizing Stasis subclasses, Guardians first have to unlock the Aspect. Get the quest "Born in Darkness" from the Exo Stranger and complete all five parts of the quest. The first few steps are fairly easy: kill 50 Fallen and get their Energized Ether, get 10 final blow with a Stasis melee, then complete three playlist Strikes and kill 60 enemies with one of the controversial Stasis subclasses equipped. The next step is to Commune with the Crux of Darkness, which is the big pyramid thing in the Eternity Zone. Next, players have to give the key they got from the Cruz to the Exo Stranger, who is in Bunker E15 Lost Sector once all the surrounding enemies have been slain.

The last step, however, requires players to find five Entropic Shards on Destiny 2: Beyond Light's Europa map, using the Salvation's Grip Exotic grenade launcher. The first of these Shards is north of the entrance into the Braytech Exoscience. Look for an antenna nearby.

The second Entropic Shard is in the center of Asterion Abyss, on top of the massive Vex buildings. Make sure to destroy it with the Salvation's Grip.

Shard number three is located in the last Concealed Void Lost Sector room. Look up into the light to see it floating there. It one of the best-kept secrets of Europa.

Shard four is in the Riis-Reborn Approach, behind the second elevator. Walk around the crates and it will be there.

The final Entropic Shard is in Technocrat's Iron, in the last room. Look to the four pillars; the Shard is on one of them.

And once this Shard is destroyed, players can return to the Crux of Darkness in Riis-Reborn Approach.

Kill all the enemies and bosses that spawn and the Destiny 2: Beyond Light Aspect will finally drop. There is currently only one in the game, but Bungie will most likely be adding more Aspects in the future.

Earning Fragments

Talk to the Exo Stranger on Europa and select quests that are marked as Fragment Quests. Players can gather two of these quests per week as Strike, Gambit, or Crucible bounties to earn Memory Fragments to buy Fragments from Exo Stranger. Players should pick the type of gameplay they like to ensure that they get all the possible Fragments every week. If Guardians choose Strikes, they may be able to cheese some of the bosses to speed up the Fragment farming.
