With Destiny 2: Beyond Light's big raid recently hitting its first month since release, players are quickly beginning to pool the mountains of data together that has been collected since they first started diving into the activity. This is where The Tracker Network comes in, with new data collected on player stats since Deep Stone Crypt's first completion, specifically focused on the weapons that these Guardians have been taking for each encounter.

The Tracker Network's records for Destiny 2's newest raid aren't entirely surprising, especially for any players who have the weapons shared in the tracker's new data. It's specifically the prevalence of a few exotic weapons that players will likely be expecting, however, the types of legendary weapons that reach the top are somewhat more surprising, given a lack of the standard auto rifles some might expect.

Topping the chart of the Destiny Tracker weapon list is Destiny 2's new The Lament exotic sword, with over 10 percent of all player jumping into Deep Stone Crypt with the new sword. Among the other exotics to make the top six are the Xenophage exotic machine gun, and Anarchy exotic grenade launcher, making the heavy weapon slot the most used for these special weapon types. While these other two exotics are within the top six, they are half as utilized as The Lament and even underperform a number of legendary weapons as well.

Another obvious choice for a top performing weapon is Destiny 2's Falling Guillotine, aka the Dark Drinker 2.0, that has been a major part of the high level meta since before Beyond Light even launched. However, the popular sword still comes short to the Heritage shotgun that comes within striking distance of The Lament for the most used weapon in the raid. All of these weapons then comes short of the IKELOS_SMG_v1.0.2 when it comes to straight kills, as the submachine gun is likely more prominently used for adds, while many of these other options act better for melting bosses.

Considering that some of these weapons have become necessary for challenge runs, like the 2-Hunter Deep Stone Crypt completion, it isn't surprising to see that they remain useful in more general attempts as well. So, any players who are still struggling to make their first completion of the raid may want to work on collecting and leveling these weapons for a better chance at the win. Taking on the new encounters and bosses can be a real challenge, but thankfully The Tracker Network can help give players an edge by revealing the most successful weapons and strategies for Destiny 2 players.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
