Vex Offensive is Destiny 2's newest mode, which will only be around during the current Season of the Undying. Vex Offensive is a 6-player matchmade activity that involves killing waves upon waves of Vex and a boss at the end. The activity is split into three sections with each one ending in a chest.

With those three chests, which always drop at least one Legendary armor or weapon from Vex Offensive, plus quests from Ikora Rey that guarantee a drop of a particular weapon, Destiny 2 players can easily farm the activity for specific weapons they are looking for.

In the interest of helping players find the best rolls for the four weapons exclusive to Vex Offensive, here are the perks players should be looking for while farming Vex Offensive for weapons.

Imperative Scout Rifle

Imperative is a kinetic, high-impact scout rifle. Despite a buff in Shadowkeep, scout rifles still are not the best weapon choice in general. But this scout hits hard and is best used to engage enemies from long distance. This will especially not have a lot of utility in PvP, so players should be looking more for the PvE roll.

PvE

  • Arrowhead Brake
  • Tactical Mag or Steady Rounds
  • Triple Tap or Outlaw
  • Rampage or Multikill Clip
  • Stability Masterwork

PvP

  • Arrowhead Brake
  • Tactical Mag
  • No Distractions or Eye of the Storm or Outlaw
  • Rampage
  • Stability Masterwork

Optative Hand Cannon

The Void energy Optative hand cannon is a special hand cannon for console players especially because it is a 180 RPM hand cannon. These tend to be really good hand cannons in PvP, with popular 180 RPM hand cannons including Service Revolver, Trust, and the pre-nerfed Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten. While it is pretty good in PvE, most players will want to really go for the perfect PvP roll.

PvE

  • Full Bore
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Rapid Hit or Outlaw or Fourth Time's the Charm
  • Kill Clip or Demolitionist
  • Range Masterwork

PvP

  • Full Bore
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Rapid Hit
  • Kill Clip
  • Range Masterwork

Adhortative Pulse Rifle

The Adhortative is a solar energy Adaptive Frame pulse rifle, which is the same class as the Bygones pulse rifle. It can roll Feeding Frenzy and Dragonfly, which some players will like for PvE. But players who do not prefer the explosion damage of Dragonfly should go for a damage increasing perk such as Rampage or Multikill Clip.

PvE

  • Chambered Compensator
  • Ricochet Rounds
  • Feeding Frenzy
  • Dragonfly or Rampage or Multikill Clip
  • Stability Masterwork

PvP

  • Chambered Compensator
  • High-Caliber Rounds
  • Feeding Frenzy
  • Multikill Clip
  • Stability Masterwork

Subjunctive Submachine gun

The Subjunctive submachine gun is an arc energy Lightweight Frame, the same archetype as the uber-powerful and popular pinnacle weapon The Recluse. While it falls just shy of The Recluse in virtually every stat, Subjunctive can be a powerful weapon in both PvE and PvP.

PvE

  • Extended Barrel or Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Appended Mag
  • Pulse Monitor or Outlaw
  • Swashbuckler or Multikill Clip or Rampage
  • Range Masterwork

PvP

  • Extended Barrel or Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • High-Caliber Rounds
  • Pulse Monitor
  • Swashbuckler
  • Range Masterwork

All of these weapons can drop from any of the chests in Vex Offensive, but players can also pick up a Data Input for a particular weapon from Ikora Rey.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
