Titans are renowned for their bulk, and they are often the butt of the joke for the Destiny 2 community, due to their mass and desire to punch things. The exotics available to Titans are no laughing matter, and the Titans can house some of the best exotic armor in the game, thanks to missions and farming.

Updated October 20, 2022 by Jake Fillery: The best Titan exotics in Destiny 2 bolster just how proud and strong the Titan class is. They are mighty, and they are big, with the best Titan exotics proving to Hunters, Warlocks, and enemies of the Light that Titans are not the dumbest class, but they are the strongest.

There’s a bundle of exotics for armor and weapons, and the best Titan exotic armor in Destiny 2 has been steadily growing with each season and expansion since the release of Destiny 2. Best Titan armor relies on great perks and abilities that strengthen the skills of the Guardian wielding it, to both look good, and feel good.

15 Precious Scars

precious scars titan exotic

This exotic Titan helmet may look strange and broken, but the ability it bolsters is not strange and broken. When players use a weapon with a damage type that matches their subclass energy, final blows will create a burst of healing energy around the Guardian wielding the helmet.

If the player wearing the exotic helmet is reviving or being revived, they gain an overshield for themselves and their allies. It makes it a great exotic for both PvE and PvP, as reviving allies grants bonuses against Raid falls and eliminations.

14 Ursa Furiosa

Ursa Furiosa titan exotic

This Void-specific exotic for Titans is essential for the Sentinel Shield. The Sentinel Shield is the Super ability for Void Titan users, and the exotic perk for this arm piece allows players to move faster while they are guarding with the Sentinel Shield. This guarded damage is converted into Super energy for when the Super ends.

This exotic allows for great orb generation, as well as quicker movement when defending. Players can use the great speed to their advantage, whether to escape the hellfire of the Darkness or to simply push forward with a team behind them.

13 Actium War Rig

Actium War Rig titan exotic

As one of the original Destiny Titan exotics, the Actium War Rig has a great style for Titans that love combat, as ammunition, is strapped to the chest piece. The ability of this great exotic keeps auto rifles and machine guns reloaded steadily from the reserves.

It’s a great exotic chest piece for PvE, as players can take care of the enemies of the Light by themselves in strikes and raids. Fireteam members can rely on this trusty Titan to clear the cannon fodder of enemies in their way due to the steady and automatic reloads from their ammo reserves.

12 Citan’s Ramparts

Citan’s Ramparts titan exotics

These sharp-looking exotic Titan arms allow for the wielding Titan and their Guardian allies to shoot through the Towering Barricade that the Titan puts up. Although the Towering Barricade has reduced health and duration, the fact that players can shoot through it for extra and impenetrable defense makes the Citan’s Ramparts a champion.

These exotics can be used for any Subclass, and are mainly great in PvP. It might be less effective in casual Crucible play, but Trials of Osiris makes these Destiny 2 exotics essential for Titans, as teams can work together behind the Towering Barricade.

11 The Path Of Burning Steps

The Path Of Burning Steps titan exotics

These glowing orange exotic Titan leg armor pieces need a Solar weapon to be activated. With Solar final blows, these legs will give the player a bonus to weapon damage that stacks. On top of this, it makes it the Guardian harder to slow and freeze with Stasis. However, if they are frozen, they take no damage from breaking free and create a burst of Solar energy around themselves.

The Path of Burning Steps can be paired with any Subclass, as it only needs a Solar weapon to be effective. The damage boost that stacks are great for PvE and PvP, but in PvP, it can make a quick-firing Hand Cannon a two-shot kill, making for a fearful exotic for other Guardians.

10 Phoenix Cradle

destiny 2 phoenix cradle exotic legs

As leg armor, the Phoenix Cradle is a great exotic reserved for teamwork. It works with the Solar subclass and allows for Sun Warrior to last twice as long. Players on the same team as those wearing Phoenix Cradle can be granted Sun Warrior by passing through the players’ Sunspots.

It’s best paired with the Bottom Tree Sunbreaker and utilized greatly in PvP and PvE. If a team of three uses this exotic and focuses entirely on the Sunspot, it can be a lethal weapon against enemies of AI and players in the Crucible.

9 Cuirass Of The Falling Star

destiny 2 cuirass of the falling star chest exotic

The namesake of this exotic chest piece cannot be understated. Players will truly feel like a falling star when using the Cuirass of the Falling Star. The ability of this exotic has players’ Thundercrash impact damage greatly increased. They also gain an overshield that lasts longer, depending on how far they have to travel to strike a target.

The damage boost of this chest piece is for the Arc subclass and can be extremely effective in PvE. It’s not entirely useless in PvP, but it truly stands out when there is a crowd of enemies. Whether that is Cabal, Taken, or other unsavory characters that seek to dispel the Light.

8 Heart Of Inmost Light

destiny 2 heart of the inmost light chest exotic

This great chest piece can be paired with any subclass, considering its abilities. Heart of Inmost Light not only looks good visually but boasts empowerment. When players use an ability, whether that be a grenade, melee, or barricade, the other two remaining abilities are strengthened.

What this means, is that the abilities will regenerate faster, and deal more damage. Cooldowns can always be a pain, especially in PvP, when the Crucible calls for quick action. Heart of Inmost Light will help reduce the time between the player’s fists, and another Guardian’s face.

7 Hoarfrost-Z

destiny 2 hoarfrost-z chest exotic

Another chest piece, but this exotic is most effective for the Stasis subclass. Hoarfrost-Z’s make it so that the player has a barricade that becomes enshrouded by Stasis crystals. This slows nearby targets when created. Not only that, but standing behind the wall grants the player and their allies increased weapon reload speed, stability, and range.

This exotic is great for PvE, as it helps the Titan that wields the Hoarfrost-Z to feel almost invincible, placing powerful and stat-boosting walls that seem to be unbreakable. It also has great use in PvP and acts as an ice fortress against enemy players in the Crucible.

6 Peregrine Greaves

destiny 2 peregrine greaves leg exotics

With any subclass, as long as the player is using a shoulder charge, the Peregrine Greaves act as an exotic leg piece that gives the player immense power. This power comes from the ability to use a shoulder charge with greater strength and damage when it is activated in the air.

Air movement is essential to Destiny 2, especially in the Crucible. Most people will fly overhead to get the high ground, and by keeping the Peregrine Greaves at the ready, those who go up must come down. These exotics make sure that the player hit with a melee strike in the air, is not getting back up.

5 Hallowfire Heart

destiny 2 hallowfire heart chest exotic

For the Solar subclass, the Hallowfire Heart is an exotic chest piece that pairs best with the Bottom Tree for the Sunbreaker. It improves the recharge rate of the players’ Solar abilities and improves the rate at which their super will charge.

Nothing is more fun for a Titan than feeling like an unstoppable god, and the Titan super provides just that. Immolation and hammers galore, the player will be unstoppable with a 50% higher ability regen rate, and a further 250% when the player has their supercharged.

4 Synthoceps

destiny 2 synthoceps arm exotics

Anyone who has played Destiny 2 knows just how much Titans love to punch things. Whether that be allies, foes, or walls. Titans are the only class that is given a direct punch with their fists, and they use it well. With the Synthoceps arm exotics, they won’t be stopping their fists anytime soon.

This exotic allows players to increase the lunge of their melee range. It also increases melee and Super damage when surrounded by enemies. Players may well be able to one-hit kill Guardians when surrounded, with a single punch. It’s a great exotic for those who prefer to lay down their guns in favor of their knuckles.

3 Dunemarchers

destiny 2 dunemarchers leg exotics

Speed is essential to any PvP game. Destiny 2 is no exception to this rule. Movement is key, and the Dunemarchers provide just that. These exotic legs allow for the player to have increased sprint speed, whilst also building up a static charge. After striking an enemy with a melee attack, the charge will chain damage to nearby enemies.

The Dunemarchers deal great damage to those in PvE and can chain lightning to kill most adds in the world. The increased speed and turning speed help Titans to feel less clunky and slow, compared to other classes. PvP also has an impressive feat for these exotic legs, as the radius for the melee effect can damage players through walls.

2 One-Eyed Mask

destiny 2 one-eyed-mask exotic helmet

This helmet is mainly reserved for PvP play. As well as looking rather cool, the One-Eyed Mask gives players the unique ability to see enemies that have damaged them. This gives them the chance to track who shot at them and make them pay. The ability to finish said enemy, and gain an over shield, can make for some great plays.

Even shooting at a combatant wearing a One-Eyed Mask is dangerous, for they will know the location of the person that shot them. Thus, making them a target, because the Titan will want that overshield to grow stronger, and help them clutch a victory in the Crucible.

1 Loreley Splendor Helmet

destiny 2 loreley splendor helmet exotic

Although this exotic helmet only works with Sunbreaker, it can make the player almost invincible. The Loreley Splendor Helmet looks like something that would be seen by Valkyries from Norse mythology, thanks to the runes and winged helm. Using this helm will send the enemies of the player to Valhalla, not the wielder.

Using this helmet grants the user a Sunspot that can heal them. This can be summoned through being critically wounded with full class ability energy, or whenever the player casts Barricade. Sunspots grant an x2 restoration, providing the player with substantial health regeneration.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
