With every season, Bungie delivers a slew of new gear, a bundle of armor mods, and a suite of sandbox changes to Destiny 2, and one player created a shockingly powerful build from an unexpected subclass.

Throughout the entirety of 2021, Bungie focused on rebalancing Destiny 2's relatively new Stasis subclasses in both the open world PVE and the Crucible PVP modes. Some recent changes to how Stasis works resulted in one subclass turning into a boss-melting machine: Behemoth Titan.

A player named HaterTheOne uploaded a video onto YouTube showcasing a Behemoth Titan build that demolishes the final boss of the Last Wish raid in only a matter of seconds. Explaining what is in the build, HaterTheOne highlights his use of the Titan exotic Synthoceps in order to gain a damage bonus to both the melee and super ability when surrounded by enemies.

Another key component to this build is the use of the Tractor Canon exotic shotgun which increases damage even further to the target shot by it by 30 percent. With the help of a few Stasis fragments and a single Titan using the Defender bubble, Behemoth Titans can spawn Stasis crystals in a single spot and then punch them to destroy them, dealing massive amounts of explosion damage.

This build is as powerful as it is because of a recent Destinty 2 update that significantly increased crystal detonation damage, an increase of roughly 60 percent. When spawning Stasis crystals, the crystals do not stay in one spot, so another player on the fireteam uses a Defender bubble and lets the Behemoth Titans spawn crystals inside it, trapping them all in a singular point. What's interesting about Tractor Canon is that the 30 percent damage increase is multiplicative, meaning that applying the bonus will yield higher than normal damage. With everything working together, HaterTheOne calculated that a single player can deal 2,222,256 damage in a single super in just 10 seconds.

Because one Behemoth Titan can deal over 2.2 million damage, that puts the Behemoth super as one of the best burst damage abilities in the entire game. Thundercrash Titans with the Cuirass of The Falling Star exotic was one of the best combos for damage, and now it has a strong contender.

As fun as this build is, players might wonder if Bungie will give Stasis crystals another tuning pass to prevent them from spiraling out of control. While this build requires good coordination and setup to maximize damage, Behemoth Titans have the potential to break open the Witch Queen raid wide open when it launches. For now, players will want to give this build a try.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
