Destiny 2 now features an impressive eight raids, and although these challenges are meant to be completed with a full fireteam of six Guardians, they are often completed with just one. The latest in this line of achievements is in relation to the game's newest raid, the Deep Stone Crypt, in which Slayerage has finally beaten one of the raid's bosses solo.

It's almost a rite of passage for Destiny 2 raids now to be cleared by just one solo player, as one can tell how new a raid is based on whether or not this feat has been accomplished. As for Slayerage, he's been at it for a long time, so fans were thrilled to see him pull it off.

These raids don't just allow for six players to team up, they are designed with that in mind. There's no scaling based on how many players enter the raid or what their levels are, meaning each encounter is intended to be a significant challenge for six players. Players were impressed when Deep Stone Crypt was beaten by a three man fireteam, but making Slayerage's accomplishment that much more impressive.

For those wanting to see the clip when he finally succeeded in beating the boss solo, it can be viewed in the Reddit post above. Players unfamiliar with Destiny 2 or even just the raid itself may not be able to tell what's going on, but the eruption of the chat should be more than enough to convey the magnitude of this accomplishment. This clip at the end of his struggle only shows a small portion of the fight itself as well, and there was a lot of expert play involved to get there.

If the name Slayerage sounds familiar, he's made something of a name for himself within the Destiny community. Alongside this new achievement, he was also the first player to solo Crota's End as well, and he has wowed fans with other accomplishments since then. This impressive record has led players to make jokes claiming that Slayerage is the canon guardian that players follow in the story, as that character is often praised for completing insane things like this on their own despite actually having the help of others.

Players wanting to give this a try of their own should find the full stream of the fight to see what they'd be getting into. While soloing Destiny raids like Crota's End back in the day was possible with some elbow grease and determination, something like this will take immense levels of skill and patience.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
