Destiny 2's Season of Plunder launched immediately after the August showcase that Bungie used as a springboard to share the trailer for the Lightfall expansion, as well as other important announcements.

With the new Season comes a new set of weapons to get, activities to master, and seasonal challenges to complete. One of these is called Antiquarian 1, which is one of the new Destiny 2 challenges that award the Repute currency to upgrade Season of Plunder's Star Chart, and this guide explains how to complete it.

How to Complete Antiquarian 1 Seasonal Challenge

While some of the seasonal challenges for the first week of Season of Plunder are rather straightforward, Destiny 2 players can be easily confused by the requirements of Antiquarian 1 due to the game non-explaining a key aspect of the challenge.

The Antiquarian 1 challenge tasks players with defeating combatants on Europa, with fusion rifles speeding up the process, and with taking the first relic to the HELM.

Defeating combatants on Europa is relatively straightforward, thanks to the Season of Plunder's Expedition taking place on the planet, which means that players can simply run Expedition once or twice to complete this objective.

Taking the first relic to the HELM, on the other hand, is tied to the completion of the weekly storyline for the Sails of the Shipstealer quest, which lets players retrieve a relic from the Hideouts mission after completing Ketchcrash and Expedition.

Once Destiny 2 players get back the relic, it can be deposited in the HELM on the relic stand in front of the Star Chart vendor, as it is located on the right side of the main corridor.

This stand prompts the action "Interact" when players approach it, which will then deposit the relic and complete the Antiquarian 1 seasonal challenge.

The relic will then appear on the stand, and players will get a message from Eido, Mithrax's daughter, that furthers the seasonal storyline for Season of Plunder.

It's worth mentioning that because this challenge is called Antiquarian 1 and the relic stand seems to be designed to host more artifacts, it's very likely that Destiny 2 players will have to repeat the same process as this week in the future.

When the seasonal challenge is claimed, players will get their weekly Repute to level up the Star Chart's vendor page with more upgrades, likely netting a total of two or three Repute tokens per week from now on.

Destiny 2 is now available for Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
