Destiny 2: Forsaken is one of the most anticipated game releases of fall 2018, and with the massive overhaul the DLC is bringing to the game, it's easy to understand why. Concerning the game's annual pass content, guardians have known the names of the three add-ons for some time (Black Armory, Joker's Wild, and Penumbra), but it has been recently revealed that there will not be new planets but new "bubble" locations.

With Bungie promising Destiny 2 players who do and don't own the annual pass new activities, many were likely interested in the recent Q&A with game director Steve Cotton and project lead Scott Taylor. When asked if there would be any new locations for players to explore, they answered to the affirmative but clarified that they were not referring to new planets.

In fact, Taylor said, "We're going to have new places to check out. Sorry, I should be specific. What we call 'bubbles' or new spaces; I'm not saying new planets." This information was also reiterated by Cotton who revealed that there would be no new planets added over the next year. While some may find this disappointing, there is plenty of unexplored locations fans may hopefully see.

These new locations could be areas returning from the original Destiny, such as Oryx's Dreadnaught and Saturn after the Reef. They could also potentially be smaller areas made out of existing planets in locations like Mercury or the EDZ. Regardless, when the Black Armory launches in December, players may get a better grasp of these new 'bubble' locations.
