Bungie showcased what fans can expect from Destiny 2’s upcoming expansion, Forsaken, during their year two reveal livestream. One of the many new announcements was the Destiny 2 Annual Pass, a new sort of expansion pass launching alongside Forsaken that will give players access to three new expansions after the launch of Forsaken.

According to Bungie, the Annual Pass will include three new content packs, new items to chase, and new activities to play. The content packs will also include new records to collect and new endgame activities. The three content packs all launch after the Forsaken expansion, with The Black Armory DLC launching in Winter 2018, Joker’s Wild in Spring 2019, and Penumbra in Summer 2019.

Following the livestream, Bungie announced the various pre-order packages for Forsaken, some of which include the Annual Pass as well. The Digital Deluxe Edition of Forsaken comes with the expansion, the Annual Pass, pre-order bonuses, and the Awoken Legend set. The set includes a ghost shell, fireteam medallions, a new emblem, and an ornament for the new bow weapons being introduced with Forsaken.

Forsaken is bringing a lot of changes to Destiny 2 in September, including some major changes to the weapon system. Destiny fans weren’t happy with how the weapon system changed from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2 and it seems that Bungie listened. Judging by what was shown in the livestream, fans may be able to equip weapons in nearly every slot, instead of just the originally designated slots.

Bungie hasn’t gone in-depth as to what the three Annual Pass expansions will entail, or how they are different from Warmind or Curse of Osiris. It is not clear if these three expansions will be smaller than year one's expansion. However, Bungie did state that these expansion will expand activities and and give new rewards to chase. Hopefully Bungie releases more information about them leading up to Forsaken.
