With Season of the Lost, Bungie introduced new Destiny 2 seasonal activities that have to be completed in order to progress the storyline, but they also provide gamers with interesting content that is going to last for six months. Destiny 2 players who want to complete Season of the Lost's new activity by the name of Shattered Realm - Forest of Echoes - need to locate the Beacons and align them, and this is a quick guide on how to do so.

Shattered Realm - Forest of Echoes - First Beacon

The first Beacon is quite easy to find, as players entering the Shattered Realm will find that there is a path leading to a floating island with a mausoleum. With the mausoleum as their landmark, players should first clear the area from the Taken, then take a look at the church in the distance on the left.

Inside the abandoned church, players will find the first Beacon. They will first have to activate it, which will trigger waves of enemies to defeat. The first Beacon will have Taken Hive and Cabal enemies.

There will also be a Champion, for which an Unstoppable mod is required, meaning that players should carry into the Shattered Realm a pulse rifle, fusion or linear fusion rifle, or a sidearm.

Champions spawn alongside the last wave, so clearing the area from those enemies will let players align the first Beacon.

Shattered Realm - Forest of Echoes - Second Beacon

For the second Beacon, players should head back to the mausoleum area towards the entrance of the Shattered Realm. At that point, with the mausoleum behind them, players should face left and follow the path of floating stones lighted by lanterns.

Then, players should clear the Taken enemies from within the walls of abandoned buildings up ahead.

There will be another path of floating stones to follow, and a few more Taken on the way.

Up on the mountain, there will be a couple more enemies to take care of, but players will finally see the second Beacon.

At this point, the process is the same for the first Beacon. Activating it will cause waves of enemies to appear, this time Taken Fallen and Vex. As such, players should have an Overload weapon to deal with the Hobgoblin Champion that will spawn at the end, thus either a sword or a bow. After that, the Beacon is ready to be aligned.

The mission will now update, and there will be a final Beacon for players to align.

Shattered Realm - Forest of Echoes - Final Beacon

To get to the final Beacon, players should simply follow the path of floating stones down the mountain and towards the newly-opened portal.

Players will immediately find themselves in front of the last Beacon, which again requires a bit of combat.

A Destiny 2 Taken Techeun boss will spawn, and she will go through three phases (or less, depending on burst damage). She will be immune at first, so players should kill Taken enemies she spawns, called Hoarfrost Executioners, who will have a white glow around them.

Once all Hoarfrost Executioners are dead, the Techeun will be vulnerable to damage. She will go in a different phase of combat every 33% of her life is taken from her, and the process will repeat itself.

After killing the Taken boss, players will be able to align the final Beacon and rescue Mara Sov's lost Techeun. Then, the activity will end, and players can go back to orbit.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
