Having launched all the way back in 2017, Destiny 2 has a wealth of content for players to be chasing, some of which can be very difficult to find. However, during some events like the Halloween-inspired Festival of the Lost, Bungie takes the opportunity to reintroduce weapons and gear for those who may have missed past versions. For example, running the Haunted Sectors can drop reissued versions of auto rifles like Braytech Werewolf and Horror Story.

The same can be said for more of the cosmetic style items, typically seen at the microtransaction store called Eververse. Throughout these past few weeks, the store has been cycling through new content like the Destiny 2 community voted Dinosaur armor ornament set, as well as previous event's ghost shells, emotes, and more. However, with the final week of the Festival of the Lost now in full effect, it appears that there are some items that aren't going to become available.

Over on the Destiny 2 subReddit, Sfletcher noted that a shader called Alchemy Scorch appears to be missing from this year's Festival of the Lost, similar to what happened with it last year as well. The shader appears in the Collections tab, a place where players can view all items, as well as having the Festival of the Lost icon which denotes when the item launched. Unfortunately, with the final reset having occured this past Tuesday for Festival of the Lost, no more items will be added to the Eververse store, which means the shader is once again going another year without being available.

The community is a bit confused as to why this has happened as well as being a bit disappointed based on the dark greens, blues, and blacks it offers. One person believed it would be offered as a reward for turning in the Ascendent Lens, which turned out to not be the case as Mara Sov offered a special package for Destiny 2 players with it instead. Unfortunately, this post set off a new wave of comments lamenting at the amount of FOMO still present in Destiny 2, something which really hampers newer or lapsed players.

In fact, this inability to find certain things in the game has been a constant topic of debate for those in the community. When combined with the amount of content vaulting going on, such as the Forsaken expansion being sunset, discussion has turned to how unfriendly Destiny 2 is for newer players. The availability of weapon and armor mods has been a controversal topic for quite a while as there are so many in the game, it's incredibly difficult to find specific ones, especially with vendors only cycling a handful at a time.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
