The prestige version of the Leviathan raid is now live in Destiny 2 and this more difficult version of the activity includes some changes to the Pleasure Gardens section. But while these slight tweaks would be enough to confuse some fireteams, one group of players has already managed to breeze right through it.

A Destiny 2 fireteam made up of just three players (Gladd, ITS IRON, and Sweatcicle) has successfully managed to beat the Pleasure Gardens section, saying that the challenge wasn't "difficult" either. One member of the fireteam named Gladd explains that "You get a x5 stack per spore with two people. We decided to grab a x40 buff for the DPS phase. This require a collection of eight spores within about 2.5 minutes." The player confirms that "on Prestige mode it's kind of a nightmare" and that "those two extra beasts complicate things so much".

However, the fireteam's task was made a lot easier by noticing patterns with the spawns. Gladd writes "It always starts with either R1 or L1", after R1 it's L2 (or after L1 it's R2) and then it follows a "double side spawn pattern". The player explains "The two full patterns are: RLLRRLLR or LRRLLRRL" and that "Within these patterns, the same spore will not glow twice until all eight have been shot by the crystal; after that, it's random again".

Gladd, who was part of the duo who beat the final raid boss with no exploit, also recommends using Curtain Call with cluster bombs "for DPS and Strike Titans". As always, pulling off something like this will also require a huge amount of coordination and attention as players need to be on the lookout for those patterns and work together to complete the puzzle.

The three-player run by Gladd and co. is certainly impressive and it is just the latest incredible feat pulled off by Destiny 2 fireteams taking on the Leviathan raid. There have been sub-30 minute raid speedruns and two-player teams who have defeated Calus in just four minutes too. Some Destiny 2 fans have suggested that Bungie could add as many challenges as it likes to the game but committed and talented groups of players will still find some way to overcome it in amazing fashion.

With Destiny 2 launching on PC this week, even more players will be taking up the challenge of completing the raid in surprising ways. That's bad news for Bungie which may be running out of challenges for players, but good news for those who are looking for a show.

Destiny 2 is available for PS4 and Xbox One, and releases later today for PC.
