One of the PlayStation 5's most anticipated and highly reviewed launch titles is Demon's Souls, a remake of the 2009 action role playing game of the same name. While the remake might have updated the visuals, the notorious difficulty that made Demon's Souls famous is as palpable as ever.

One of Demon's Souls most popular bosses is the terrifying Armor Spider, found in the Smithing Grounds, the game's second region. Getting to the Armor Spider is a task in and of itself, but the true challenge is defeating the beast in her nest.

The Armor Spider has an inherent resistance to fire, so save those Firebombs and Pine Resin for another battle. Instead, the Armor Spider has a weakness to magic, making the spell users a powerful force to be reckoned with. The Royalty class starts off with a Spell Arrow that will help make quick work of the Armor Spider, as long as players keep within close range of the boss while making sure to dodge her attacks. There's also the melee route, which can be buffed with Sticky White Slime, a substance that will enchant weapons with magic. Regardless of which class players chose, there's a method out there for them.

Enchanted weapons are a good idea if players are more keen on close combat, especially if they have the hidden health buffs. Make sure to stay near the Armor Spider's face to avoid some of her sweeping attacks, which can be blocked with a shield. One thing to keep in mind is that the Armor Spider has an unblockable attack where she slams a leg on the ground, so make sure to use a well time dodge roll in that case.

The Armor Spider also makes use of her webs, which will slow players down if they're caught as well as staggering their dodge rolls. Her most deadly attack however, is a flammable black tar that will cover the battlefield just before she lights up the room. Avoid this by running to the entrance before she engulfs the player in flames, which could result in a death and a loss of precious souls for leveling up.

It is important to note that there truly is no easy mode in Demon's Souls. Players must rely on their skills and wits if they want to complete the game, but with enough patience and guidance, anyone can beat Demon's Souls if the truly have the drive to do so.

Demon's Souls is available now on PlayStation 5.
