Demon Slayer's Entertainment District Arc has finally concluded after half a season's worth of intense breakneck fighting. The payoff for all the wait was worth it; fans got to see not only a victory for the Demon Slayer corps, but also a taste of what's next in their continuous secret war. That would be Dōma, Upper Rank Two or the third most powerful demon in the series.

Sadly, despite his reveal, Dōma won't be the main antagonist in the next arc, which is the Swordsmith Village Arc. It's going to be a while before he gets his villain spotlight. Still, that doesn't make Dōma any less interesting. Little is known about him, after all, so here are some Dōma facts straight from manga readers' spoiler-filled mouths for those who might be impatient or can't resist that white hair and psychotic calm voice.

Warning: Heavy spoilers ahead! Especially the last two entries.

10 He Pities Humans

Well, all demons pity humans and treat them as food but Dōma takes this superiority complex to another level. Dōma even goes as far as shed some pretentious tears about humanity's situation and even hates the fact that Upper Moon demons can be defeated by human Demon Slayers.

Part of the reason for this personality is Dōma's extremely high intellect. He believes that most humans are pathetic or stupid and there's also the fact that he's clinically apathetic. Even before he became a demon, Dōma could never really experience emotions, and he's also aware of his condition.

9 He's Masochistic

Those who first saw Dōma probably already assumed what kind of person he is just from his manner of speech and appearance alone. Anyone who guessed that Dōma is sadomasochistic ought to pat themselves on the back for brownie points on correct psychological profiling.

Dōma is unabashedly masochistic and even sometimes pokes holes in his skull with his own finger to fiddle his brain and trigger some memories. There's also that one instance when he gleefully anticipates Muzan's punishments after a failure since he enjoys physical abuse.

8 He Has A Cult

Dōma is actually an atheist but that didn't stop him from developing his own cult where all the members worship him as a god. He calls this cult the Eternal Paradise Faith where he sometimes listens to his followers' woes and gives them advice.

After that, he handpicks whoever he will devour among his hapless followers. This way, Dōma gets his steady supply of human meat and the best part for him is that he doesn't even need to hunt them since they willingly seek him out. That's how he beelined for the Upper Rank Two position after starting out as Upper Rank Six.

7 Dōma Prefers To Eat Young Women

Dōma's followers in the Eternal Paradise Faith? Mostly women, young women. That's also his choice cut of meat or sustenance, which makes him somewhat similar to the Swamp Demon in the first season. Dōma simply believes that the meat of young women is superior in quality.

Apart from that, another reason is that Dōma has this twisted belief that he's saving all these young women from suffering by letting them "stay" inside his body. That's why he can be seen eating courtesans in the Entertainment District prior to "rescuing" Gyutaro and Daki.

6 Akaza Hates Him

It's not just humans and Demon Slayers who find Dōma's psychotic behavior appalling. In fact, even some of his comrades in the Upper Moon are repulsed by his demeanor and preferences. The most vocal among them would be Akaza, whose principles on which humans to kill and eat clashes with Dōma's wanton proclivities.

Akaza refuses to kill or eat women despite knowing it would make him stronger and only kills & eats victims who can fight back to a certain degree. Thus, he occasionally lashes out at Dōma and even assaulted Dōma with some lethal blows. Dōma being Dōma, he enjoyed the interaction.

5 He Uses War Fans As Weapons

Most Upper Moon demons have their favored weapons. Whereas Gyutaro has his scythes and Daki has her belt, Dōma has his Japanese war fans. Historically, Japanese war fans are used more as a defensive weapon, for parrying sword strikes. In desperate cases, they can be throwing weapons as they're made of metal or wood.

In Dōma's case, he uses these fans like knives. They're most likely fashioned from his own flesh though his fans have a gold color. They are sharp enough to slice through most things and can also be used to trade blows and deflect even Nichirin swords.

4 His Blood Demon Art Is Cryokinesis

War fans were also perfect for Dōma since his Blood Demon Art relies heavily on producing cold temperatures. His special demon ability is cryokinesis and he can create ice from his own flesh and blood. This ice can then take any form Dōma wills, and he has used this ability extensively and masterfully.

He's capable of creating ice constructs that he can weaponize, such as stalagmites or spikes. When not making icicles, Dōma can also freeze the surrounding air— enough to stiffen and hobble even a Hashira's movement. Dōma utilizes his war fans to proliferate his Blood Demon Art.

3 Dōma Killed Inosuke's Mother

Demon Slayer - Inosuke With His Swords Crossed Ready To Fight

Inosuke's past hasn't been revealed extensively but his fight with Dōma shed some light regarding his origins. Because it turns out, one of the women whom Dōma pulled into his cult was Inosuke's mother, Kotoha Hashibira. She had no choice since she ran away from her abusive family.

Sadly, Kotoha was too sharp and eventually noticed that Dōma was killing and eating his cult members. So, she tried to escape with a baby Inosuke but Dōma found her and shorty killed her afterward, even claiming to eat her down to the bone. Thankfully, Kotoha managed to save Inosuke by throwing him down a river.

2 He Kills Shinobu Kocho Later

Demon Slayer Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho

It was Inosuke, Kanao Tsuyuri, and Shinobu Kocho who faced Dōma in the later chapters of the manga. While Shinobu was the fastest among the Hashira, her speed proved no match against Dōma's, and the Upper Rank demon could even blitz her like she was a child.

After killing Shinobu, Dōma even went as far as to absorb her afterward as an alternative to eating his victims. The tragic part is that Kanae Kocho, the Flower Hashira and Shinobu's sister, was also slain by Dōma some years prior to the present timeline in Demon Slayer.

1 He Gets Killed By Inosuke & Kanao Thanks To Shinobu

Shinobu didn't go down without a fight, of course, and her getting absorbed by Dōma was a noble sacrifice that allowed Inosuke and Kanao to finally behead Dōma. Because through her subsequent attacks and after Dōma absorbed her, Shinobu was able to poison Dōma extensively.

This weakened Dōma to the point where his immense Upper Rank Two strength and status became manageable for Inosuke and Kanao (who are nearly Hashira-level at that point). Despite losing a Hashira in the process of killing Dōma, this was still la victory for the Demon Slayer corps, much to Dōma's displeasure, dying to the hands of "mere" humans.
