Demon Slayer has won the hearts of readers all around the globe. Fans love it because of its interesting plot, beautiful animation, and memorable characters. The anime is notable for including many important female characters.
The series has a diverse cast of strong female characters, from the demon slayer Kanao Tsuyuri to the swordswoman Mitsuri Kanroji. All of them end up playing an important role in the overall story and do well by not just improving their character arcs, but the story as a whole.
10 Makio, Hinatsuru and, Suma (Tengen’s Wives)
Tengen Uzui almost never goes to battle alone. Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru, his three spouses, are ninjas who stand beside him in combat. Although they have distinct personalities and haircuts, they are equally deadly in battle.
Bravely battling against Daki and Gyutaro, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru helped Tengen's side win the entertainment district arc. They care deeply for Tengen and are distraught at the thought of his death until Nezuko's fire eliminates the poison.
9 Mukago
Although Mukago was killed off early in Demon Slayer and never really engaged in combat, her high rank suggests that she had considerable strength. Mukago was Lower Moon 4 for a while, which meant she was more powerful than demons like Kyogai, who had previously posed severe threats to Tanjiro on the battlefield.
While Mukago had no trouble with regular demon slayers, she would always run away from the Hashira. Mukago and three other Lower Moons all met their deaths at Muzan's hands, leaving just Lower Moon 1's Enmu to carry on the battle for Muzan's cause.
8 Nakime
Nakime is an Upper Moon 4 along, although Muzan seldom sends her to battle demon slayers or even go on hunts for the blue spider flower. Nakime, on the other hand, is a defensive backup demon that uses her biwa to move other demons about and build an endless fortress.
Nakime may not be a devoted fighter, but she is nevertheless a formidable female character due to her demon-like longevity and lightning-fast reflexes. The only reason Muzan would promote Nakime to such a high position is that she deserves it, and she has shown herself worthy.
7 Kanao Tsuyuri
Like her adopted elder sister, Kanao lacks the brute power necessary for decapitating a demon but is considerably stronger than she seems because of her training and considerable talent. At the butterfly estate, she assisted Tanjiro in his training and demonstrated the techniques of a true demon slayer for him to emulate.
Like her extraordinary skills that made many think she was the promised Hashira. She more than validated such presumptions during the epic showdown with Doma, which ranks among the series' finest moments. Kanao isn't the talkative kind, but her impressive martial arts skills make their presence known everywhere they go.
6 Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu Kocho is the insect Hashira, which is represented by a beautiful butterfly motif and an extreme affinity for poisons. Since Shinobu isn't quite strong enough to physically sever a demon's head off, she resorts to wisteria poisons to kill her far more powerful opponents.
As part of her insect motif, Shinobu's sword is thin and lightweight, enabling it to move fast like a bug's stinger. She may use a sword to thrust the poison into a demon's throat or torso, then watch as her foe bleeds to death.
5 Daki
Daki and her elder brother Gyutaro were both Upper Moon 6s, but Muzan always considered the former as a weakness compared to the latter. Regardless of Muzan's thoughts, Daki is undeniably one of anime's most formidable female warriors.
When Tengen Uzui's team showed up at the Entertainment District, Daki jumped directly into the fray, even though she typically stays out of sight in her oiran disguise. She ditched her garments and began engaging demon slayers from a midrange position using her sharp fabric belts.
4 Kanae Kocho
Even though Kanae Kocho had long been dead when Tanjiro met Shinobu, the strength of her influence in her day was made obvious via flashbacks and speech. Kanae was a very competent and brilliant demon slayer and older sister, and she even battled the powerful demon, Doma, for several hours without submitting to him.
As a Hashira, she was also proficient with a traditional Nichirin sword. Upon Kanae's death, it became evident that the corps had lost one of its most capable warriors.
3 Tamayo
Tamayo is the kind of person that avoids conflict whenever feasible in favor of the medical field. She had more medical expertise than anybody else in the anime, and her employing of figments initially fooled even Muzan.
She proved her worth in that fight, showing that she had the potential to be a formidable opponent for even the strongest demons. It's a pity she had to wait until that battle to really demonstrate her powers since she had just made a cameo appearance to mislead Susamaru.
2 Nezuko Kamado

Fans like Nezuko because she is both strong and adorable, and she is surprisingly tough. Over the course of the show, she has a firmer hold on her demonic skills and gradually improves her ability to use them.
Nezuko may not be the most tactical combatant, but she is swift and agile enough to be a danger to someone like Daki. In the entertainment arc, Nezuko has taken on a more formidable character, which has proven to be both terrifying and taxing for her and Tanjiro.
1 Mitsuri Kanroji
Despite appearances, Mitsuri is significantly more powerful than the majority of Shonen heroes. When Mitsuri was fighting Muzan Kibutsuji, she grabbed one of his appendages and tore it off with her own hands, demonstrating her incredible strength and dexterity.
Mitsuri has a strange connection with her renown for strength while being secure in her talents as a powerful Hashira. She dreams of marrying a guy who can match her strength, but considering her prowess, it seems like a pipe dream.
