The new season will be called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc. A poster and some other details were also released along with the new trailer. Season 2 is expected to follow the demon slayer gang into Tokyo's Yoshiwara district on a new mission full of peril. No release date for the premiere is set yet, but the short trailer confirms a release within 2021. The trailer does not give much up on what to expect in the upcoming season but showcases some outstanding animation and Japanese costume design.

More information is expected to come on July 13th on Aniplex's YouTube channel. The YouTube broadcast will be live at 7 pm (JPT) and besides releasing more information regarding Demon Slayer season 2, the event will also feature a message from the voice actors for Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae) and Tengen Uzui (Katsuyuki Konishi). The show is expected to keep a majority of the voice cast from season 1 and the Demon Slayer movie, along with some newcomers to showcase the unknown villains in the show. Season 2 will also keep the same director, Harui Sotozaki, along with character designer Akira Matsushima, and it will be produced at Ufotable.

With the first season having premiered only in April of 2019, the series is quickly growing into a classic anime series and is already a fan favorite. Despite the recent Demon Slayer film, which held the best opening weekend for a film in the history of Japanese cinema (and also smashed the box office record in America for a foreign film), the series has already launched merchandise, confirmed a video game, and even a limited-time attraction at Universal Studios Japan.

The series is expected to continue its reign as a must-watch anime and hopefully, it can promise some brand new surprises in the second season. There's not much time until the new announcements will be unveiled, so fans will likely find out soon enough.

Demon Slayer season 1 is now available on Crunchyroll.
