When it comes to modern anime, few properties are as popular as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, with the action-heavy, dark fantasy show becoming widely renown across the world following its 2019 debut. The demon-killing exploits of Tanjiro and Nezuko have become so popular, in fact, that it's currently slated to receive a video game adaptation courtesy of CyberConnect2, the developers behind Azura's Wrath and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Following two trailers focusing on Tanjiro and Nezuko last week, the studio has now revealed more about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan's roster of characters, releasing a pair of introductory promos focusing on Tanjiro's demon-fighting allies, Inosuke and Zenitsu. Much like Tanjiro and Nezuko, the two characters look to have move sets heavily based on their specific powers in the anime.

Inosuke, for example, wields his dual jagged-edged katanas, combining the blades with his mix of brute strength and agility to land deadly shots on his opponents. The trailer pits the boar-headed warrior against Tanjiro, seeing him execute several of his more punishing moves from the series, including a deadly overhead kick. Although the trailer doesn't show it in its entirety, it seems he will also wield a special attack that utilizes his unique beast-breathing technique, launching the Demon Slayer protagonist into the air with both of his swords.

Zenitsu, on the other hand, will be playable during his immensely powerful sleep state, where he can use thunder powers to strike down his foes. His trailer sees him pitted against Inosuke, where he utilizes his lightning dash to knock his opponent around the arena. It seems his special is ripped straight from his epic fight with the Spider Demon in the anime, using his tenfold move to bounce Inosuke into the air before launching him into the ground and following up with a lightning strike.

Both characters look to be fun new additions to the Demon Slayer adaptation's versus mode. Last week's trailers showed that Tanjiro and Nezuko would be equally as powerful, with the former using his water-breathing strikes and the latter using her demon strength. Alongside the versus mode shown off in the four trailers, the game will allegedly feature a campaign that recounts the plot of the first season of Demon Slayer, as players get to experience Tanjiro's most epic encounters. The anime featured a variety of jaw-dropping battles, most famously through Tanjiro's widely-revered showdown with Rui, so the game definitely has a lot to draw from.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
