The New York Times Games version of Wordle is back today with another puzzle, and it might be challenging enough that some fans are looking for help.

Wordle is a simple daily word game with easy-to-follow rules, but it can be hard to become excellent at. In order to win at Wordle as often as possible, some players might be looking for help with the rules, some strategy, hints for the answer, or maybe even the full answer itself.

How To Play Wordle

Wordle was originally developed by an indie developer, but it was purchased by the New York Times Games in February of 2022. This is the version that this article is all about; other versions will have different answers and might have slightly different rules. Here is the breakdown of how to play this original word game:

First, choose a starting Wordle word. Good starters have a variety of different letters in them, are five letters long, and are not proper nouns. Players should also avoid previous answers and plural nouns ending in S or ES.
Keep in mind that Wordle is now edited by a human editor, meaning some holidays might have themed words.
Type the chosen word into the site or app and press enter.
The letters will change colors, giving clues to the real answer. Green letters are right, gray letters are wrong, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong place or places in the word.
Try a new word with these clues in mind.

Players have a total of six tries to get to the answer before they lose.
Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
There is only one puzzle per day for everyone, so players should make sure to use the spoiler-free share button in the Wordle menu to prevent spoiling the answer for others.
