PS5s may still be hard to find, but for those who already own one or are currently trying to get one for this holiday season, the clear must-have gifts alongside it are video games. The PS5 has had some solid exclusives this past year or so that stand out, like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal, Deathloop, and a couple more.

Deathloop comes from Arkane Studio, a part of Bethesda, so it’s in a bit of an interesting historical spot too where it’s technically a Microsoft game exclusive to the PS5. Either way, it tells the story of Colt trying to kill 8 visionaries, one of which (Julianna) is actively trying to kill him, in order to break a time loop and escape an island where the day keeps repeating. Its gameplay is solid and overall the game has been hailed as a Game of the Year contender by many.

Considering Deathloop is basically brand new (released in September) on a hard-to-get console, Black Friday deals seem likely to be far and few between. At most, it seems reasonable discounts would only be maybe $10-$20, but Walmart’s official Black Friday ad came with a hard-to-beat price that knocks predictions out of the park. Deathloop is listed on this ad for $25, which comes to a discount of roughly 58%. Getting a September game at more than half-off full retail is a great gift and a great money saver.

Buyers should be aware that this Black Friday deal is not live YET, but the ad confirms that this sale will begin online on November 22 at 7 PM ET. It will begin in-store on November 26 at 5am local time. Walmart+ members will get early access to the online deals, beginning at 3 PM ET on November 22. As of this writing, this seems to be the steepest discount on Deathloop, and it’s unlikely to find it any cheaper than that.

For those wondering how long to beat Deathloop, although there’s no inherent connection between length and price, it’s about 15 hours. Completionists can get even more out of it for at least 30 hours, and it’s got a high replay value if that’s important to someone shopping for themselves and a loved one. Ultimately, it’s a perfect gift for someone just now getting a PS5 and especially for those who may be a fan of Arkane’s past work, like Dishonored.

Deathloop is available now for PS5.
