She'll be the first visionary Colt has to kill in Deathloop, which might mislead players into thinking she's the simplest kill. As a target, her initial confrontation can prove fatal to Colt as she's got a power that no other visionary shares. It's so strong that even taking her slab doesn't give Colt her same abilities.
But this is only one way to take her out. There is an easier way and a better way to catch her without her special abilities and this way is much better in the long run. It's required in order to beat Deathloop. So here's the breakdown of how to stick it to Wenjie, both early and late in the game.
Killing Wenjie Early
- Visit The Complex in the afternoon.
- Kill the initial Wenjie.
- Kill all the Wenjies, labeled with waypoints.
By following the waypoint on the map, players will be directed to Dr. Wenjie Evans. This is still part of the semi-tutorial section, so it's impossible to miss. However, especially because this is the first visionary leader Cole runs into (aside from perhaps having to deal with an enemy Juliana), she'll feel stronger this time than any other time.
To kill her, try hacking the turret in the room that faces her. This will kill her quickly, but it will place markers for other Wenjies. Cole only gets credit for killing Wenjie after he has killed every single Wenjie; there is no "right" Wenjie to kill.
It's as simple as following the waypoints and killing the targets. Players will have the Nexus slab after killing Harriet very quickly; when multiple Wenjies are in a room, use the Nexus slab power, then killing one should kill them all. There is an achievement for killing all of them in 90 seconds or less, but it might take a few tries.
Eventually, with any shotgun and the Havoc slab, each Wenjie is a one-hit kill.
The Best Way To Kill Wenjie
- Complete the "What Wenjies Want" visionary lead.
- Find Wenjie at Aleksis' party in Act IV (evening in Updaam).
The visionary lead that pertains to Wenjie called "What Wenjies Want" permanently changes her location. She will no longer be available in The Complex and will instead be exclusively found at Aleksis' party at Updaam in the evening.
This actually reduces the number of times and locations Wenjie can be found, but the benefits offset this slight disadvantage. First, there will be up to two other bosses at the party, enabling Colt to kill three at once. Second, Wenjie's power of being able to split into other Wenjies is deactivated; there is only one Wenjie to kill.
She'll be on the roof with a substantial contingency of guards. Going loud and killing everyone at the party will inevitably lead to her death, but for those who are looking for a stealthier option, getting Colt to the rooftops at the left of the entrance gives him a chance to snipe her down quietly.
If Egor is up here with her (depends on previous actions taken) kill him first. Wenjie doesn't have her power but he still has his and chasing an invisible man all over the well-guarded rooms is less than ideal.
