It's odd that more visionaries aren't like Frank in Deathloop. Everybody seems very aware that Colt is coming to kill them, but only Frank seems to have taken the threat as seriously as he should. As a guru on the radio waves, it's strange that his rock 'n' roll and carefree attitude was vigilant enough to construct a legitimate trap.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's Ramblin' Frank's party lifestyle that gets him into trouble and turns him from Deathloop's hardest boss into the easiest. The simplicity of the best way to kill him isn't disputable. This guide will help players with that first difficult kill and then show them the best way to get it done.
How To Kill Frank At First
- Go to Fristrad Rock in the morning.
- Use a Classpass dispenser.
- Enter the club.
- Hack the turrets.
- Let Frank see Colt.
- Take out the reinforcements.
- Eliminate Frank.
Getting to Frank requires putting on a Classpass, which disables all of Colt's slabs. While in his club, hack turrets and stay out of sight. There are no small amount of guards here and if Colt dies once, it's all over because of the Classpass.
When getting to Frank's box, instead of engaging Frank directly, head up the stairs and disable the Classpass on a dispenser in Frank's bedroom. Frank will engage by either breaking into his box or seeing Colt personally. Before doing either of these things, hack the myriad of turrets in the room.
There are two solid ways of killing Frank. Players can set up two turrets aimed at the top of the steps, let Frank see Colt, then hide behind the bed. Alternatively, there is an antenna to hack on the left entrance of Frank's booth, allowing Colt to engage him directly.
The Best Way To Kill Frank
- Complete the "Ballad of Ramblin' Frank."
- Go to Karl's Bay in the morning.
- Jam the flaps from the laptop.
Colt is never more at risk than when he engages Frank. Killing an enemy Juliana is difficult enough, but with one life while in the club, Colt's vulnerability is staggering. The process of killing Frank is way too much of a risk, even with this method. Thankfully, there is a better way.
After completing "The Ballad of Ramblin' Frank," engaging Frank directly becomes a needless gamble. At Karl's Bay in the morning, there is a small shed attached to the hanger that Harriet resides in. Use the code gained during the lead to open the door.
Use the laptop and select "Jam the rain flaps." This will kill Ramblin' Frank during the evening without any further action from the Colt. Frank will hop on the radio to broadcast a fireworks show and find that the fireworks have nowhere to go. Colt will hear the explosion and the ground will shake a little bit, giving Colt credit for taking out the visionary.
