Death Stranding is the new, highly polarizing game from Hideo Kojima. This stunning game has a lot of players completely captivated; although the game is massive and sprawling, some people have already beat it and have started digging deep into end-game content. One of the more difficult of these to find are the 56 elusive Memory Chips.

All About the Memory Chip

While players are out an about trying to get upgraded bikes and equipment to take on the worst that the BTs and Timefalls can throw at them, they can also be searching for Memory Chips. While players can find these Chips before the end game, they are easier to track down after the main story is done and the necessary triggers have been completed. The nearby city has to be upgraded enough for Sam to be able to read their emails for the Chips to appear in the world.

Once a player has collected all 56 chips, they will earn a trophy named Fount of Knowledge. Getting this will be necessary to grab a platinum trophy for Death Stranding. While the chips by themselves don't give the player anything, it's a fun thing to collect while out and delivering all those packages.

While delving into Kojima's so-called "Interactive Novel," players will find it difficult to keep track of which chips they have and which they don't. They can track how many chips they have in total by opening up the Memory Chip menu. Go to Settings, then select the Memory Chip Option. This will bring up a menu with all of the possible chips that have been collected.

Where are Each of the Memory Chips?

Each of the 56 memory chips is scattered around the USA for Sam to find while he's out there liking people's ladders and bridges. Once a player is close by to a Memory Chip location, they can use the scanner to find the Memory Chip and then pick it up. Don't forget to upgrade the city and read their emails first, though, or the chip will not show up in these locations. The emails give great hints as to where the Chips are, but this PowerPyx video really goes into detail about where each one will be:
