It's no big secret that Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima is a huge fan of the Scottish Pop band CHVRCHES, particularly to anyone that follows him on either of his Twitter accounts. A little over a month from release, Death Stranding has "Gone Gold" and CHVRCHES have released a brand new song that will appear in the game's soundtrack, appropriately titled Death Stranding.

Sony has teamed up with RCA Records for the release of a full album called Death Stranding: Timefall (Original Music From the World of Death Stranding). Every artist featured on Death Stranding: Timefall spent significant time with the game, using the story and atmosphere to create something that captures the world and themes of Death Stranding.

Those familiar with CHVRCHES will feel right at home with Death Stranding, which is the first of a number of original songs that have been written for the game's soundtrack by notable artists including Khalid, Bring Me The Horizon, and MISSIO. Here's the complete list of songs included in the soundtrack:

“Trigger” Major Lazer x Khalid

“Ghost” Au/Ra x Alan Walker

“Death Stranding” CHVRCHES

“YELLOW BOX” The Neighbourhood

“Meanwhile…In Genova” The S.L.P.

“Ludens” Bring Me the Horizon

“Born in The Slumber” Flora Cash

“Sing to Me” MISSIO

Hideo Kojima later posted on his Twitter account that CHVRCHES' new song would be featured as the final song at the end of the game, presumably as the credits roll, which is similar to how many films often include promotional songs. However, while none of the other songs appeared in the recent 48-minute Death Stranding gameplay reveal, the rest of the soundtrack can be expected to appear throughout the full game.

Players that preorder the Death Stranding Special or Collectors Edition will receive a copy of the digital album, Death Stranding: Timefall (Original Music From the World of Death Stranding) as part of the package. The Special Edition is available for $69.99 USD, while the Collector’s Edition will set players back $199.99 USD. PlayStation has also revealed a new Limited Edition console and controller that will be available alongside the release of the game.

Death Stranding releases on November 8th, 2019 exclusively for the PS4.
