It's official: Death Stranding is launching this year. Sony released a brand new trailer for Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated first post-Konami project and confirmed the Death Stranding release date for November 8, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. In addition to revealing the Death Stranding release date, Sony has also detailed the game's pre-order bonuses as well as what's coming in the $200 Collector's Edition.

As was expected, the Death Stranding pre-order bonuses that leaked on the PlayStation Store prior to the game's release date announcement have proven to be accurate. Anyone that pre-orders Death Stranding will get a dynamic theme, a Chibi Ludens PSN avatar, and four in-game items: Gold "Sam" Sunglasses, Gold Armor Plate, Gold Hat, and Gold Speed Skeleton. These items will have to be earned in-game, and seem to be just gold versions of items all players will get, with no special in-game advantages as far as we can tell.
