With Death Stranding making its way to PC in the coming months alongside a ton of new features, PS4 fans are already wondering whether these new additions to the game will be exclusive. While the PCs added bonuses are mostly inconsequential, such as additional Half-Life crossover content and some new visual upgrades, the port will also include a sizable new feature that didn't ship with the PlayStation 4 version of the game. As it turns out, however, this new feature won't be exclusive, with Kojima confirming it'll come to the PlayStation 4 version of the game much sooner than many would think.

The feature in question is, of course, the game's new Photo Mode, which will allow players to take high-quality screenshots as well as giving the option to add filters, frames, and more. This has naturally cured a lot of the jealousy many players felt towards the PC port of the game, especially as Hideo Kojima himself has confirmed that the mode will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 before the end of this month.

In his announcement, which was made on Twitter, Kojima showed off what players can achieve using this photo mode in the game, displaying a number of high-quality screenshots of Death Stranding's protagonist interacting with the world. These include a shot of Sam Bridges posing in his private room and one featuring him hugging BB in a wide-open corridor, while Twitter user Germanstrands posted an action shot shrouded in an intense blue filter showcasing the protagonist riding a motorcycle.

Seeing as the game is filled with beautiful locations, striking imagery, and terrifying monsters, it seems like Death Stranding is a perfect fit for a strong photo mode that allows players to capture some visually distinct screenshots. Photo modes themselves are fast becoming a major staple of blockbuster games, allowing players to embrace their creative side and take a number of amazing photographs from their favorite titles. In turn, it seems the internet is now filled with stunning screenshots from massive titles, with the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Spider-Man PS4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 all featuring photo modes for users to play around with.

Death Stranding itself is seemingly far from being completely away from the public eye just yet, with the addition of this photo mode, a major PC release, and a rumored manga spin-off all supposedly coming this year. Hideo Kojima clearly has a lot of faith in the title and its longevity in the public eye, even if PlayStation has allegedly seemed somewhat apprehensive about the success of the title since its release. Hopefully, fans of the franchise will get to spend more time in this world sooner rather than later.

Death Stranding is out now for PlayStation 4, with a PC port coming on June 22, 2020.
