Last November, Kojima Productions released Death Stranding for the PS4, which serves as the studio's first-ever game since its establishment back in 2015. Now, video game retailer GameStop is currently offering a massive discount for Death Stranding, which reduces the game's price to its lowest ever. However, players should remember that GameStop's promotion for Death Stranding will only be available today, given that the discount is part of the store's Deal of the Day.

GameStop is offering Death Stranding for a cheap price of $25, which is 58% cheaper than its original price of $59.99. It is worth noting that GameStop's offer is currently the lowest price available for Death Stranding, so players who have been holding off purchase of the game until it gets discounted should take advantage now while the offer still stands. To the uninitiated, Death Stranding is set in a fictionalized United States that succumbed to the destruction caused by creatures from another realm. The game revolves around the character of Sam Porter Bridges, who is tasked with reconnecting isolated colonies via a wireless network.

Immediately upon release, Death Stranding received mixed-reviews from both fans and critics, but many praised the game due to its unique gameplay, immersive story, and exploration of real-life themes. However, the game also received some criticisms with some players and critics calling Death Stranding a glorified walking simulator that mostly comprises of fetch quests and long stretches of travel in a vast open-world environment.

Although Death Stranding was initially marketed as a PS4 exclusive, Kojima Productions revealed last October that the game will be getting a PC version soon. Death Stranding on the PC was supposed to launch on June 2, 2020, but Kojima Productions revealed recently that the PC port of the game has been delayed due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic that the world is experiencing right now. Luckily for fans who are anxiously waiting for Death Stranding to release on the platform, the new release date is not that far off and from the original plan and the game is scheduled to release for the PC on July 14, 2020.

Apart from having high frame-rate support and ultra-wide monitor compatibility, Death Stranding on the PC will also include a photo mode. This feature wasn't initially included in the console version but was later added to the PS4 last March. Additionally, the PC port of Death Stranding will also have crossover content with Valve's Half-Life franchise in the form of a Headcrab cap that the player can wear in-game.

Death Stranding is out now for the PS4 with a PC version releasing on July 14, 2020.
