Called the Overcooked Upgrade Scheme, players who own a digital copy of Overcooked 2 can save 75% when they upgrade to Overcookded: All You Can Eat. The game normally retails for $39.99 on Steam and the Switch store, meaning that Overcooked 2 fans can pick it up for only about $10. Switch users can benefit from the Upgrade Scheme right now, with the deal coming to Steam users on December 22.

Publisher Team17 also plans to expand the Overcooked Upgrade Scheme to Xbox and PlayStation consoles sometime in 2023. Team17 apologized for the staggered rollout in the announcement blog post on its official site. However, the company did not give the exact reasons for the delay but did explain that it was forced to choose between a staggered rollout or delaying the Upgrade Scheme on all platforms. In addition, Team17 didn’t indicate how long PlayStation and Xbox users will have to wait but promised more information at some point in the new year.

Overcooked: All You Can Eat includes the campaigns from Overcooked and Overcooked 2 remastered with 4K visuals. All You Can Eat also includes new maps and modes, new accessibility options, and over fifty new playable Chefs. The download also includes Overcooked: All You Can Eat’s free World Food Festival update, which includes three more new biomes, ten new levels, two new Chefs, two new Recipes, and new game mechanics.

Overcooked: All You Can Eat has an average rating of 7/10 on Steam, with the compilation’s PS5 and Switch versions having Metacritic scores of 84% and 87%, respectively. Critics and fans praised its cross-platform co-op, frantically fun gameplay, and remaster of the first two games. However, it also suffered from long loading times on Switch, and there wasn’t enough new content to convince everyone it was worth the price for fans who own the first two games. However, the new Upgrade Scheme may offer an extra incentive for anyone on the fence about the game.

Overcooked: All You Can Eat is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
