When a deadly mercenary is diagnosed with cancer, he undergoes twisted and torturous experiments to cure himself. Wade Wilson soon finds himself disfigured, but with a set of powers that makes him unkillable. The famed “Merc With a Mouth,” Deadpool, has received two films: Deadpool and Deadpool 2.

Now that 20th Century Fox is a property of Disney, Deadpool is set to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3. The film will feature Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool in a cinematic universe with established heroes, and many fans are eager to see how annoying Deadpool will be to other MCU characters.

10 Thor

Thor is one of the MCU’s strongest characters, and with both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir by his side, he is ripe for annoyance by Deadpool. There could be some great humorous moments between the two, with Thor leaving Mjolnir on Deadpool just so the potty-mouth anti-hero can no longer be a bother.

It would also make for fun fourth-wall-breaking interactions, with Deadpool mentioning the often divided critic consensus of the solo Thor films. Seeing Deadpool talk to a literal Norse god is filled with humor, and Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Reynolds would be a great duo.

9 Captain Marvel

Brie Larson Captain Marvel The Marvels

Few characters in comics are more annoying, and perhaps objectifying, than Deadpool. Part of it may come from his crazed personality, and the other from the confidence he feels in not being able to die. Seeing Deadpool interact with Captain Marvel would be a treat for audiences, as the often stoic and serious superhero would have no time for the katana and gun-wielding anti-hero.

The characters haven’t interacted much in the comics, but the MCU is the perfect playground for Deadpool and Captain Marvel to form a bond or a hatred for one another. It’s always fun seeing Deadpool be a nuisance.

8 Daredevil

Despite being one of Marvel Comics’ strangest duos, Deadpool and Daredevil work well together. Perhaps their most notable bond of both wearing red costumes runs deeper. Matt Murdock recently returned to the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Disney Plus series.

Deadpool and Daredevil have teamed up more than once, and the two Marvel Legends prove that opposites attract. Considering Daredevil is the closest to an R-rated character the MCU has so far, Deadpool would fit right in with the character.

7 She-Hulk

There are interesting conversations and dilemmas bound to She-Hulk and Deadpool, mainly because both characters can seemingly break the fourth wall at will. Seeing the fourth wall breaks in the MCU will be strange, but She-Hulk will be doing it often in the Disney Plus series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

With both characters breaking the fourth wall, it will be interesting to see if they both acknowledge that. Deadpool has been seen in the films before taking strong punches, and She-Hulk packs quite the punch.

6 Groot

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 groot

A rare character that could match the strangeness of Deadpool is a talking tree. It would be hilarious to see Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, losing his composure at the reveal of an alien tree that only says “I am Groot.” Knowing Ryan Reynolds’ talent for improvising, it would be fun to see what he will come up with in response to falsely translating “I am Groot.”

By the time Deadpool comes to the MCU, Groot will probably be an adult again. That all depends on the outcome of the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, as Groot’s fate is undecided, as is the rest of the Guardians.

5 Captain America

With Steve Rogers passing down the iconic red, white and blue shield, Sam Wilson has upheld the mantle of Captain America. Through his character development in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson is set to return as Captain America for Captain America 4: New World Order. Audiences know how patient Rogers was, and who better to test Captain America’s patience than the ever-annoying Deadpool?

Sam Wilson has some great banter with other heroes, and that could blend wonderfully in the MCU with Deadpool’s appearance. The scenes that Sam Wilson shared with Spider-Man are some indication of how annoying the new Captain America will find Deadpool.

4 Nick Fury

Nick Fury has appeared in many MCU movies, including the one that started it all. With 2008’s Iron Man, Nick Fury teased the Avengers Initiative in a post-credits scene. Considering Fury knows practically everything in the MCU, it probably won’t surprise him to learn of Deadpool and his antics across the MCU.

The serious nature of Nick Fury would be tested by Deadpool, yet, the biggest charm of Nick Fury and Deadpool would come from Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds. The two have great chemistry, as demonstrated in The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

3 Hulk

The-Incredible-Hulk

Hulk has had quite the character development since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Mark Ruffalo took over the role from Edward Norton and has balanced a serious tone with humor since 2012’s The Avengers. Many fans still want Hulk to receive his film, but with the confusion of rights, he has had an arc stretched across a few films as a supporting character.

Now, Hulk and Bruce Banner are one and share the brains and brawn. It will be great to see Deadpool annoy Hulk to the point where his aggression comes out, and audiences bear witness to what made Hulk so “incredible.”

2 Doctor Strange

Perhaps the leading expert on the Multiverse so far, Doctor Strange has shared a few adventures in the Multiverse already. Without Doctor Strange, audiences would not have seen the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man from their respective universes. Nor would they have gone on the adventure to another Marvel Universe in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Considering Doctor Strange is technically the first MCU character to meet a Mutant and explore the Multiverse, he wouldn’t be shocked to meet Deadpool. However, the constant harassment of the “magician” may make Doctor Strange wish he didn’t know the Multiverse.

1 Spider-Man

Spider-Man No Way Home Tom Holland Opening Scene

Fame and infamy can most certainly attract in the case of Spider-Man and Deadpool. The two have a shared history and have featured in a joint series on more than one occasion. Spider-Man, a hero in every sense, paired with Deadpool, a hero in very little sense, makes for a great dynamic filled with jokes and one-sided interest. They are both iconic characters in their own right, and to see the collaboration between Spider-Man and Deadpool would be the pleasure of many.

Considering Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has been left in a state in the MCU where the Spider-Man legacy has reached his college years, the inclusion of Deadpool’s antics would be a dream to see these characters unite on the big screen.
