Dead Rising 3 Screenshots

Capcom already has a number of big games coming out later this year that its fans can look forward to. DmC: Devil May Cry is scheduled to rock the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month, while Lost Planet 3 will be following suit at some point in 2013. There's still plenty to come from Capcom too, but one of their projects may have been revealed prematurely — courtesy of a couple resumes from Blur Studio employees.

On the resumes, the pair listed a previously unannounced Capcom title, Dead Rising 3, as a project that they've created a trailer for.

To provide some background on Blur Studio, its a company that specializes in putting together some of the best CGI trailers that have been seen throughout the game industry. The studio's past work includes the cinematic trailers for Dishonored, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Bioshock: Infinite, so it's not surprising in the least to hear that they've created a trailer for Dead Rising 3. The employees who claim to have worked on the trailer occupied the roles of a cloth-hair technical director and a rigging supervisor, and allegedly finished the trailer at some point last year.

The Dead Rising series is one franchise that many believed would inevitability see a third installment. Previous rumors claimed that Dead Rising 3 would take place in California with a brand new protagonist, but (other than teasing the game) Capcom has yet to release anything official pertaining to the title. Even with the rumors being taken into account, there are still plenty of questions that fans probably have. Is it coming to current consoles or next-gen? Will Wii U owners be able to get their hands on the third iteration of this zombie-filled fun-fest?

If Dead Rising 3 is indeed en route, then the wait for an official reveal shouldn't be all that long — especially if Capcom plans on putting it on current consoles. In the meantime, stay tuned to Game Rant for more news on DR3 as it surfaces.
