The newest Dead Rising narrative may be of a questionable canonical nature, but Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is continuing the long standing franchise tradition of outlandish outfits and crazy costumes which bestow special effects on players. In fact, Off the Record comes complete with all four of the DLC costumes from Dead Rising 2 on the disc, ready to be discovered within Fortune City. Moreover, Off the Record brings back a classic Mega Man reference by allowing players to unlock the Protoman outfit. In addition to this, DLC containing the Cyborg outfit has already been released for the game.

Today Capcom has announced that Off the Record will be getting some fresh DLC hot off the grill with the addition of the BBQ Chef Skills Pack. The pack comes complete with Chef's Hat, Face, Apron, and Sandals. While wearing the Chef's costume, players will be able to perform special attacks with the Cleaver and Chef's Knife as well as perform deadly attacks with ketchup, mustard, and mayo.

There's more, but your order is up. So take a seat at the counter and enjoy some grilled goodness with this trailer for the Dead Rising 2: Off the Record BBQ Chef Skills Pack DLC:

In addition to the perks mentioned above, the pack also boasts bigger explosions. We're going to assume that while wearing the costume, explosive objects cause more devastation  -- but we're not entirely sure about that. Finally, the last added benefit to this particular suit is that grilled food items give more heath back when consumed.

Overall, the BBQ Chef Skills Pack doesn't look like it'll change any minds about Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, but considering the price tag for these DLC costumes, it's not that bad of a deal. If watching the trailer wasn't enough to sate your appetite, take a look at the gallery below:
