Hot off the heels of Dead by Daylight's 23rd Chapter, Sadako Rising, there is a lot more in store for players to look forward to in the near future. It was recently announced that Dead by Daylight's sixth anniversary will have a special broadcast, for example, that airs next week on May 17 and is sure to hype up the festivities and content Behaviour Interactive has planned for June.Even more recently, however, was a supposed leak that, if true, reveals the next Chapter's content plainly. Dead by Daylight's leak shows a hideous monstrosity called the Dredge as its killer character, as well as a survivor character named Haddie Kaur. The leak details their perks and other information about the Chapter, but it is unofficial and speculative at this point until an announcement is made. Rather, another fresh leak has allegedly surfaced that details a notable reprisal for a subsequent Chapter with the return of a popular survival-horror franchise.RELATED: Dead by Daylight Confirms First Gay CharacterTwitter user LeaksDbd, as well as other members of the leaks' community, claims that Resident Evil will receive a second DLC Chapter for Chapter 25, which would follow the purported Chapter 24 leak. Interestingly, the leak suggests that Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers will be its survivor characters, while Albert Wesker will be its killer character. This eclectic combination of characters seems less cohesive than in Dead by Daylight's previous Resident Evil DLC, which combined locations and characters from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3's modern remakes.

Resident Evil made its debut in Dead by Daylight's Chapter 20, adding survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine and the killer Nemesis. Though it had substantial issues with its Raccoon City Police Department map at launch, it has since become a staple of Dead by Daylight and controversial to fans who believe it is survivor-sided or vice versa. LeaksDbd also believes that unused "map variants" of RPD could be added to Chapter 25 that were originally discovered in the Chapter 20 PTB. This, too, is only a rumor at this point and has not been confirmed.

There are currently no leaked screenshots of these characters or their perks, so it is difficult to corroborate this leak as opposed to others that have been shared. Still, Resident Evil was a massively popular addition to Dead by Daylight and it would not surprise players if it was returned to for new content, particularly due to the fact that there are many more character skins and eccentric villains Behaviour could implement. Wesker is surely a fan-favorite choice whose super-speed and super-strength may come into play for the character as a killer in Dead by Daylight, if he is indeed added.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
