Last month, it was announced that the next chapter in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight would add content based on Konami's popular Silent Hill horror game franchise. Now Dead by Daylight fans can pick up the new Silent Hill chapter content, which adds Pyramid Head and more.

Upon purchasing the Dead by Daylight Silent Hill content, fans can check out the Midwich Elementary School map, as well as play as both Pyramid Head (also known as The Executioner) and Cheryl Mason.

In celebration of the Silent Hill content launch, those that have yet to pick up Dead by Daylight can purchase the special Silent Hill Edition of the game. The Silent Hill Edition of Dead by Daylight will come with some rare outfits for both Pyramid Head and Cheryl Mason that players can customize their characters with.

Speaking of customization, the Silent Hill content also includes some new items that players can purchase from the store based on the franchise. This includes outfits based on Alessa Gillespie, Lisa Garland, Robbie the Rabbit, and more.

So far, the Silent Hill content is exclusive to the console and PC versions of Dead by Daylight, meaning those playing Dead by Daylight Mobile will be missing out. However, it's quite likely that the Silent Hill content will be coming to Dead by Daylight Mobile at some point in the future.

Looking forward, it will be interesting to see if Dead by Daylight adds more content from horror game franchises. Prior to the Silent Hill update, most Dead by Daylight content has revolved around horror movies or TV shows, like Stranger Things, instead of video games.

There are many horror game franchises that seem like they would make solid additions to Dead by Daylight, like Capcom's Resident Evil or EA's Dead Space. However, nothing has been announced in regards to any other video game horror franchises making the jump to Dead by Daylight. For now, horror game fans of Dead by Daylight can check out the Silent Hill Chapter that is available for PC and consoles now.

Dead by Daylight is out now for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
