While Dead by Daylight prepares to withdraw its Stranger Things content from purchasable means, Behaviour Interactive continues to adamantly push content to fill that inevitable chasm. With Mikaela Reid's inclusion ceremoniously celebrating Halloween festivities, Dead by Daylight is already prepared to release another new chapter this month.

Dead by Daylight's recent leaks have unfortunately unraveled Behaviour's plans to announce and tease its next two slated chapters. But while hidden assets, models, and codes have been datamined and deciphered, there is still a great deal of uncertainty toward what Dead by Daylight's newest chapter may entail. However, news about such leaks will soon prove true or not since Behaviour has recently given the first details about its newest downloadable content.

Today, Behaviour has shared the first teaser for Dead by Daylight's latest chapter, which is officially titled Portrait of a Murder. Dead by Daylight's teaser does not specifiy when the chapter will release beyond a window of November 2021, though avid players who are aware of Behaviour's content tendencies speculate that, if its schedule aligns with previous content, it will release on November 30, with a Public Test Build arriving on Tuesday, November 9. If legitimate, more information will soon be revealed, such as whether the killer model from the leaks is accurate.

Further, these substantiated leaks have since been confirmed more or less by Behaviour itself after the developer explicitly acknowledged them and politely asked fans not to share them. This also ensures that the leaks for a subsequent chapter, based on licensed characters from The Conjuring franchise, may prove legitimate as well.

Crows appear to be thematically influential to Portrait of a Murder, and Dead by Daylight fans have shared their hopes for this chapter to include some sort of perk or other innovation toward the crows that appear in gameplay. Dead by Daylight's crows startle easily as survivor players run near them and alert killer players to their general whereabouts. But aside from pointing out where an idle survivor is in the map, crows scarcely provide a significant mechanic. Perhaps the new chapter's killer will have crow-related perks, as some fans hope and anticipate.

It is unfortunate for Behaviour that two potential chapters have leaked, though it may not make them any less enticing for Dead by Daylight fans who are excited for more content in the wake of Stranger Things' content being removed this month as well.

Dead by Daylight is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
