Fans of Dead by Daylight have a host of new additions to enjoy with a new Tome of the Archives. Developer Behaviour Interactive released a series of videos showcasing various changes for Dead by Daylight's DIVERGENCE Tome.

The game has players competing against each other in a world of survival horror. In a 4 versus 1 format, the group takes on the role of survivors as they try to outlast the big bad killer. A hide-and-seek experience utilizing cult classic horror, Dead by Daylight has more than 30 million players. Now fans can explore a whole new experience within the new Tome of the Archives, DIVERGENCE.

The Tome itself focuses on choices and the consequences that can occur. The story follows Yui Kimura as she is plagued by endless nightmares about alternate versions of herself. Included in this narrative are memories that can be unlocked for the Nurse and Observer too. The addition also comes with a new type of challenge, Glyphs. Whether playing as a survivor or attempting to be the perfect killer, players can activate Glyphs to spawn in special items. To spice things up, Behaviour Interactive provides a series of cosmetic items for those on the Free and Premium Tracks.

That is not all though, and the Dead by Daylight update is throwing in some extra bonuses. To celebrate the Lunar New Year, a Gilded Stampede Collection is available for purchase in-store. This includes a plethora of cosmetics for Adam Francis, Zarina, The Spirit, The Wraith, and The Deathslinger. To top off all the changes, The Realm Beyond update is following up on the promise of improved graphics. Both the Gideon Meat Plant and the Crotus Prenn Asylum are getting overhauls, along with HUD changes to improve the user experience.

All these updates for Dead by Daylight should excite fans of the survival horror. Behaviour Interactive is covering all the bases by including new content, cosmetics, and graphical improvements. Despite releasing back in 2016, the community continues to grow across PC, console, and mobile. With 10 million downloads on mobile alone, it is nice to see the developers continue to add to the experience. Continuing to add to the story will likely keep players coming back for more.

Though, there does seem to be a heavy reliance on extra cosmetics for this update. While the new story should encourage gamers to hop in, unlocking the extra Track content will be the real grind. Some may be disappointed to see that the Lunar New Year items are all in-store. With it only running until February 25, various fans may not get the chance to experience all the content. In any case, those who enjoy Dead by Daylight should have plenty to do in the coming weeks.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
