In September, Dead by Daylight introduced a new grade system in place of its rank system for survivor and killer emblems. Rank emblems represented where a player may be placed when it came to Dead by Daylight's lobby queues and matchmaking, which is now determined by a hidden system. Grades, rather, have no effect on matchmaking and only determine the resulting rewards players will receive each month.

These grades rank players between Ash, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Iridescent. Grades and their associated ranks in Dead by Daylight are then earned and progressed before they are reset on the 13th of every month. Upon this reset, players are then rewarded with a particular amount of Bloodpoints respective to the individual grades they were able to achieve for survivors and killers. However, while this system has initially benefited players, Behaviour Interactive has decided to offer even more benefits to it.

Dead by Daylight has recently decided to increase the rewards that players earn per grade. With a detailed chart of each grade and its respective rewards pool, players can see that substantial increases are made, such as the potential to earn 1 million Bloodpoints for an earned grade of Iridescent Rank 1. Further, this increase affects both the survivor and killer grades, which means that players could effectively earn 2 million Bloodpoints if they achieve Iridescent Rank 1 for both survivors and killers.

All players reset to an Ash grade on the 13th of the month, where they all must then make their way up through 4 individual tier ranks before they can reach the next grade. For example, players start at Ash 4 and finally reach Bronze after they pass Ash 1. Fortunately, there are rewards set for each so that time played is encouraged and incentivized in Dead by Daylight. The amount of Bloodpoints that players can typically hold onto is capped at 1 million, though grade rewards circumvent that and will be reflected in the player's menu.

It seems as though Behaviour has been making a significant effort to fairly compensate Dead by Daylight players with rewards and incentives lately, which many fans have been happy about. Players will not have seen this new grade reward increase reflected in Thursday's reset, however, because it is set to debut at next month's reset on February 13. Perhaps players will do their best to achieve a higher grade knowing the rewards have increased.

In the meantime, Dead by Daylight's Bloodrush lasts until Friday, so players still have the opportunity to earn a large amount of Bloodpoints right now if they wish to.

Dead by Daylight is available for Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
