Dead by Daylight, the popular asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, is coming to mobile devices. Behaviour Interactive, the developer of Dead by Daylight, confirmed further details about the mobile port of the game. Those details include Dead by Daylight Mobile's new release window, which will be spring 2020 in the American and European markets for iOS and Android devices.

For those unfamiliar with Dead by Daylight Mobile, it's planned to offer a strikingly similar experience to what's already available on PC and consoles. This includes a "fully optimized" experience with the same gameplay and the same modes. It will understandably feature new controls for mobile devices and will be altered so as to make for the best mobile experience.

To kick things off, Behaviour is opening up pre-registration today for potential Dead by Daylight players using Google Play. Depending on the number of pre-registrants, players will be rewarded with various in-game currencies and cosmetics at launch. Rewards start at 500,000 pre-registrants with tiers up to 1 million. Users on iOS can help with the effort by pre-registering on the official Dead by Daylight Mobile website.

Given the types of rewards that Behaviour will be giving to Dead by Daylight Mobile pre-registrants, it looks like the same type of microtransaction and progression systems will be in place for the game. Rewards include quantities of Iridescent Shards, as well as shirts, pants, and hat cosmetics.

In the same announcement, Behaviour also confirmed that it has formed a partnership with NetEase to bring Dead by Daylight Mobile to select regions in the Asian market. Confirmed regions include Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. There's no word on when the game will officially reach these territories.

Dead by Daylight was originally released in June 2016. It's crazy to consider that it's almost four years old. Nevertheless, development of the online multiplayer game continues to move forward. Dead by Daylight continues to receive substantial updates bringing new Killers and Survivors to the game, as well as plenty of cosmetics. It's clear that with the release of Dead by Daylight Mobile coming up, Behaviour Interactive continues to have big plans for the horror game. As long as people are playing it, Behaviour will keep growing the game.

Dead by Daylight Mobile launches this spring for iOS and Android mobile devices.
