BehavioUr Interactive's Dead by Daylight has thrived on PC and consoles over the past five years since its release. Its mobile component, Dead by Daylight Mobile, will be reaching its one year anniversary soon and has been a huge success in its own right.

Dead By Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title that pits one player controlling one of a multitude of different killers against four players who have to survive long enough to repair generators and escape. Dead By Daylight has amassed an impressive group of famous killers for players to pick from, from classic movie slashers like Freddy Kreuger to video game icons like Silent Hill's Pyramid Head.

In honor of Dead by Daylight Mobile's anniversary, the developers have released some impressive statistics about the game. Most impressive is that the game has amassed 17 million downloads worldwide from both its iOS and Android versions. Its an impressive number of players, and is made all the more impressive when considering that the game hit 1 million downloads in just over the first 48 hours after release as well as the fact that Dead by Daylight Mobile reported hitting 10 million downloads in just last October. Behaviour Interactive also boasted some fun statistics like the app having 60 million free trials played and players repairing 170 million generators thus far.

In celebration of the game's anniversary Anniversary Game Boxes are being added to the game that are free and have various past cosmetic collections available in them. From April 19 to April 25 the boxes will contain the Summer Camp Collection while from April 26 to May 2 they will contain the Back to School Collection. The celebration will culminate in the release of the All-Kill chapter on May 3 that brings Dead by Daylight's all-new killer The Trickster and survivor Yun-Jin Lee to the game as well as a smattering of k-pop themed cosmetics.

The mobile market has been garnering a lot of attention from traditional game developers and publishers as of late, with many companies like Activision and recently Sony, looking to find a foothold in the mobile market. It is great to see so many franchises and games being exposed to a new market and it is also great to see smaller studios like Behaviour Interactive being able to find a place for their beloved games on the platform as well. It will be interesting to see where Dead by Daylight Mobile goes from here, but it is off to a great start already after only a year.

Dead by Daylight Mobile is available now on iOS and Android.
